Disney names new Hawaiian resort
By Leah Zanolla
Jan 19, 2010

Disney has been hard at work on the construction of their new resort in Hawaii, set to open in 2011. Today, they announced the resort's name: Aulani. Aulani is a Hawaiian word that means "the place that speaks for the great ones." Built on the island of O'ahu, Aulani will have 360 hotel rooms and 481 two-bedroom villas. There will be an 18,000-square-foot spa, two restaurants, and a conference center. There will be several pools, and to make use of the beautiful surroundings, hot tubs will face the sunsets. Disney hopes that Aulani will reflect the Hawaiian culture and traditions.

Be interesting to see what the points value per room will be. Will they be more comparable with Vero Beach and Hilton Head? Or more like the Grand Californian?

Aaaaah, who am I kidding? They're gonna make VGC look like OKW.
