Where the spirit does not work with the hand, there is no art. -- Leonardo Da Vinci
To all who come to this happy place: Welcome! Disneyland Paris will be celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2022, and faces quite the ambitious and forward expansion in the next few years, though this appears to be limited to the Walt Disney Studios Park. Despite having a rocky start, Disneyland Paris has become the number one tourist destination in Europe, and its 30th celebration and beyond should be spread to the entire resort.
That is the purpose of this project, which has been almost a year or so in the making. A blue sky imagineering project which express my love for Disneyland Paris, incorporating the intended new elements to the resort, as well as my own ideas that are semi-realistic but my personal desires all the same.
The aim of this project is to present new concepts and ideas to Disneyland Paris Resort as a whole, tackling the three existing entertainment areas one at a time, in an imaginary series of phases that would occur between 2020 and 2035, although there won't be a legit timeline used here. Disneyland Paris is one of the most beautiful of parks, but has not technically had a new attraction (that wasn't a refurbishment) since 1995 with Space Mountain. There is space for new attractions and entertainment in all of the established lands, while in WDSP, the intended expansion shall remain but with new additions and parkwide alterations.
Our journey through the new Disneyland Paris will be split into two phases for now, with an additional third and fourth phase at a later date.
1. The refurbishment of Disneyland Paris (technically called Disneyland Park, but we'll be referring to it as Disneyland Paris). In my headspace, these changes would occur either during or after WDSP's own expansion.
2. The Walt Disney Studios Park expansion, including new Star Wars, Marvel, and Frozen lands, a new lake, and additiona new lands and attractions across the park, creating a new identity and overall theme.
3. A reimagining and update to the Disney Village.
4. A third gate with a new hotel and possible shopping complex.
Though my plans are what I am pleased with, I open the floor to alternate suggestions and ideas, as well as my own depending on the feedback from readers.
Without further ado, let us begin our tour around Disneyland Paris!
