The reason I ask is because a couple on mine during the DVC shindig were on number 19...yes nineteen. They had another one booked at that time as well. I can see why you like them though.

@Disneyfalcon Here is another one for you.....or anyone else. We found what we think is a good deal for the three nighter in late August. My concern is the hurricane season. While I know we cannot predict it now, what has been everyone's experiences during that time of year. I.E rain, water temp in CC, etc. Thanks in advance.

I have been on three cruises

7/10 -7/15
8/23 - 8/27
8/30 - 9/2

Veryy little difference between the three. AS Tammy said, when at sea they avoid any storms. I have not had any port closures. That is not to say it does not happen. But for the three Ihave been on (two in late August) they had great weather - both at sea and in port (Nassau and Castaway Cay)

My last cruise was the Hurricane Sandy one. We ended up having to miss Castaway Cay because of the storm (it was pretty bad). I didn't mind as much (because I had been there before), but my sister was pretty disappointed because it was her first cruise

Just checked the Disney Cruise Line site and was disappointed to learn that they aren't offering any 5 Night cruises on the Dream from Port Canaveral through the rest of this year and all of 2014.

I found the 5 Night Dream cruise to be a perfect length with two stops at Castaway Cay.

They are offering a 5 Night cruise on the Wonder September, 26th 2014 and October, 1st 2014 with stops in Key West but I was hoping to book something much sooner.

Guess I'll have to save up my lunch money for a cruise on the Fantasy.

I am considering a Disney cruise after over a dozen cruises, the last two on the Allure of the Seas. It is just my husband and I, no children. We are concerned that we won't be able to find enough to do in the evenings. We don't park ourselves in the lounges but have always enjoyed spending a little time in the casinos and worry that we might be a little bored. Any help would be appreciated as we are getting ready to book our next cruise.

As you probably already know, there are no casinos on the Disney ships. But there is a lot of entertainment every night, some of it family-friendly and some of it adults-only. There are several stage musical shows on each ship; on 7+ night cruises, there are also variety show acts (magician, juggler, ventriloquist, etc.). Additionally, there's dancing, there are bands playing (sometimes there are "tribute" shows, like a Beatles night or 80's night or something like that). There is often also a movie or two playing in the Buena Vista Theater after dinner.

I agree with Chuck. The evenings are so full of activities it's hard to pick sometimes! The variety acts are great, and some of the activities in the clubs are great fun. We aren't club people and we are tetotalers to boot! But we still enjoy the nighttime atmosphere. The clubs on the Fantasy are so cool, we spend one evening sitting with our Shirley Temples and friends, just enjoying being there. There always seem to be good movies showing at that time too. :)

Tammy, are we actually the same family as each other???? (We can't really be, b/c my wife enjoys wine with dinner. But everything else seems right on target! :) )

There are enough similarities there that surely we share the same roots at some point! :)

I was disappointed when I found this out too. We've done two of the 5-night Disney Dream cruises out of Port Canaveral. The 5-night cruises are just the right length and the 2 stops at Castaway Cay make it even better. I don't think I would enjoy anything shorter than the 5-night cruises, especially the 3-night cruises.

There will definitely be a lot of activities for you guys to do in the evening. There's dinner and the show at the Walt Disney Theater obviously, but other than that they usually hold many types of activities in the various adult lounges. I really enjoyed going to the Tube (on the Fantasy) to partake in all the things going on. They had Match Your Mate (similar to the Newlywed Game), Pop Culture Trivia Challenges, Variety Acts, and an 80s music challenge. The activities didn't really stop until around 1-2 in the morning most of the nights while on board.

Thank you to those that have mentioned all the activities DCL has to offer for adults! I really appreciate it. I am definitely sold but may have my work cut out for me when it comes to DH. He willingly goes to WDW for a week every year because of the WL but asking for both may take more pixie dust than I have laying around. We shall see! Thank you again!

The Disney Cruise is less Disney than WDW, if that makes any sense.

While the level of service, attention to details, etc. is all there, there is very little in the way of animated characters. If you want to see characters, you have to look for them (most of the time).

ODD, we have been on 4 DCL cruises and we have found the characters all over the place on deck, wondering the passage ways, pools, signing, etc....etc.
