Dinner at the Spice Road

This is essentially a continuation of a previous thread about EPCOT restaurants in general.

Has anyone been to Spice Road (Morocco, EPCOT) for dinner recently? That being, not part of the Wind Down. How does getting a table work? I can't find anywhere to make reservations. Is it just walk-up? If so, how likely would it be to get a table outside half an hour to an hour before the fireworks? I'm planning on going in late April, so crowds should be moderate.

Apparently they are having a hard time getting customers, so you should have no problem walking up and getting a table.

I'm rather surprised by that. The menu looks good, and I think a lighter tapas meal would be great for dinner, and getting a sample of a particular cuisine. And it's still a bit cheaper than other stuff around World Showcase. Plus you get a view of Illuminations as well.

Yes, I think because it's very small portions at high prices.

The food is very good. Not all of the portions are all that small. The hummus and the Brie are both very nice portions that are easily shared. The slider on the other hand is not a good size to share. Just ask your waiter. My husband and I were full after 3 tapas total and our bill was only 30 bucks. We will definitely go back.

You will have no problems with a walk up at Spice Road Table.

You just walk up, and yeah, you wont have any trouble getting a seat. The food and drink is really good but the portions are ridiculously small for the price. Think F&W portions/prices but in a restaurant. We took advantage of a 30% off AP discount and still felt we paid too much. Our September visit:

Good food, some portions are rather small for sharing, the hummus platter was the best! Didn't have any problem walking up and being seated for lunch- it was almost empty. I think people are either not willing to try this type of food or they are loyal to Tangierine across the way.
