so it's 85% sure that me and my friend will meet my friend and his girl in wdw (woo-hoo, first trip w/friends without family, I'm such a big boy now :ROFLOL::sohappy, my question is, they are on the dining plan, and me and my friend are not, so can we have sit down meals together?

Yes, you can. Just inform the server when you sit down, and they will give your table separate checks for those on and off the DDP.

That's exactly what we did last year when friends who are locals joined us for dinner. Though we complicated things ever-so-slightly by putting all the alcohol on my friend's bill so their Tables in Wonderland discount would cover it...

I have done that before and it worked out fine. Just remember to make the ADRs for 4 people. It is harder when the non-dining plan people try to piggyback on a reservation for 2.
