From what I have seen you get a bit at a time, ie your staterooms are ready at 1.30pm, and luggage will be delivered by 5pm. Then another screen for dinner tonight and the menu in advance, so in small bit sized chunks, not see the traditional navigators so far but there must be some site map or landing page.

So can you look up all the navigators for the whole cruise already on the first day?
Yeah. Go into the calendar and each day is listed. Then you can go into characters, activities, etc. Haven't tried to look for other days but you can see menus for all the restaurants tonight. Its really cool. The layout isn't like the printed Navigators. There's sections you go into for activities, dining, etc. Its hard to describe. But I was already able to see scheduled activities for tomorrow.

Yes. If you go into the calendar thing they list out each day of the voyage. Touch a day and you see tabs for stuff for that day. I didn't dig too deep, tho. Been trying to figure out how to like sign in as my stateroom (if possible) to see if I can get things we have booked to appear for me. It'd be neat if there were reminders for things I have booked. KWIM?

Sounds good will hopefully use that next year if they out it on the Magic.

Hopefully its coming soon. Seriously LOVE this app navigation. Even the deck layouts are wonderful. BTW, not sure if I'll be able to connect via Mac to the unlocked Wifi. They have it set up as its own connection. There's still a bunch of locked, password protected networks that show up when connecting.

I am really not sure whether I think this is great or whether I think this is horrible. While it is nice to be able to do more planning, I just loved to be so unconnected during my cruise. I put my IPhone in the safe and only used it to send a text home to Germany from Mexico (yes, I knew that it would cost me exactly 0,39 €, I had reasearched that beforehand! ;)). Now I will be tempted to check out menus and stuff even though it is nice to be surprised - or not a hassle to actually walk to the restaurant and read the menu posted outside there...

As long as you can't reserve FP+ for the comfy chairs at the adult pool 180 days before your cruise, I hope it won't be too bad!

I assume its ship use not internet based, now in each room you can pick up the DCL website for free without paying of an internet package, so i assume you can use this without hooking up and getting incoming emails and text.

Wanted to report back on the Navigator app. In a word: AWESOME. I am no techie or gadget- girl and found it very easy to connect & use. When still in port its a little cumbersome to keep switching in & out of the Guest Wifi spot you have to be connected to in order to access the content. I was still texting and talking with my boys at home so I was switching on & off the wifi a lot on embarkation day. Once we left port we switched our phones to airplane mode and the app was on. I never looked at a paper Navigator. Didn't need to. Yes, it was a little odd to be at breakfast staring at my cell phone. Hubby didn't carry his so we'd read together much like paper Navigator days. We would go thru each of the activity categories and touch the heart icon for the ones we had interest in which saved our selections to a favorite list. This is the equivalent to highlighting paper navigators. Then, you can use your favorite list as your daily schedule. Everything is arranged in chronological order. It's actually quite handy.

Every bit of Navigator info is included and arranged in an easy to navigate format. Very user friendly. You don't have to be a techie to fully utilize the app.

I carry my iPhone on me all day every day in my daily life so having it with me was a natural thing. No getting accustomed to the paper format. No flipping pages to find what I wanted to know. Just pull out the phone, few touches, and BAM. Done.

Out of habit a few times I inadvertently navigated to other apps I typically frequent when I have a still moment in my day-to-day life. Purely habitual. I kept laughing at the denial message that would pop up because I was in airplane mode. "Oh yeah!" After several times doing this I broke the mindless habit. So, now that I'm home I find myself not so compulsively going to those apps. It's like a good side-effect of using the Fantasy app. LOL!

Accessibility and reliability were nearly flawless for us. Only a 2 or 3 times wAs there any pause or delay in the information loading. In talking with other cruisers there was some difficulty for users who were already on IOS7 but we were not at that time. I'm sure that's already been resolved. Because the app utilizes a wifi network that strictly only pushes the app content we did not experience delays or connectivity issues. It was fast & reliable. Surprisingly so, actually. I really did expect connectivity issues.

Overall, we loved the app. Loved it. Very convenient. Very user friendly. I can see lots of things that would make wonderful additions. Like create the ability to sign in individually so each person can have their own favorites list. Set it up so each person can see what they are signed up for (like sports simulators, tastings, specialty dining, excursions) on their list. Have push notification reminders for your booked activities. Integrate the booking system for specialty dining, tastings, etc. so people can reserve or modify their own bookings without needing a stop at Guest Services. Order room service. Buy some merch from the app & have it appear in your room. That would rock! There's tons of possibilities. I think the app Navigator in the earliest, basic incarnation that we experienced was fantastic. Loved it.

I have a bunch of screenshot captures to upload and show you. I'll try to work on that shortly. If anyone has any questions, let me know. I'm not really technically knowledgable but I will do my best.

Youknow what's next, right? MM+ and bands for the ships! <grin>

Seriously though, there were quite a few times on my cruise that I found myself wishing they had the bands there. I think it would work even better on the boats!

No secret I've been super resistant to the MM+ in the parks. This experience is opening my mind to some extent. I'm willing to see where magic bands & MM+ can be useful...although I still don't want to wear the ugly things. ;)

The unlocked DCL GUEST is the wifi network you have to be connected to for the app.

I felt the same before trying it. Now, I really like where they are going with the concept.

Many times on the ships I missed the band. Plus, it's gotta be better for kids. The "mickey bands" they get for the kids club on the ship doesn't look comfortable at all! I didn't fault my kid when she'd complain about it, which she did...many times.

These are the daily home pages. See at the top in the strip where it says the day & date? See the calendar icon on the right? If you touch that calendar it brings up the complete list of days for your voyage. Navigate to each day and you can see all info for that day. Just as any voyage goes, the daily schedules are subject to change. The good thing is schedule changes can be reflected instantly. No need to reissue new Navigator pages.

Definitely the onboard Mickey bands look miserable. I don't wear a lot of stuff, tho. I'm happy to stick with like the little fob type door badges DH has to access secure office facilities or my KttW card.

When on the home page if you touch the screen a little drop down menu list icon shows up. Its hard to describe. It appeared at the top left of the screen. This is the next navigation menu:

Say you want to check out this day's activities. Touch "Activities" and you get this. See the categories?
