[DCA] Opening Date Is Set for Cars Land and Buena Vista Street!

It's official, both Cars Land and Buena Vista Street will open on June 15th, 2012! The park will be closed the day prior to that, June 14th, for the big media preview. Tom Staggs made the announcement via the Disney Parks Blog today:

Well, Al Lutz was right again. :lol:

When Al Lutz announced over a month ago that June 15th was the grand opening date, he also mentioned that they were likely going to keep DCA closed to the public for a big media party all day on the 14th. I wonder if that's still the plan?

To accommodate a media preview and make final preparations for the opening, Disney California Adventure park will be closed for one day on June 14. Disneyland park, Downtown Disney District and the Disneyland Resort hotels will remain open for our guests on that day.

June 14th is also the last Grad Night for the year. So it will probably be a slow Thurs. I wonder what time they will allow people to line up with other events people love to arrive early to be one of the first(One More Disney Day, Pirates World Premieres, 50th Kick off and July 17 come to mind)

Exciting stuff though, this is reminding me so much of the 50th kick off. It's finally DCA's time to shine!
