So the fam and I are staying club level at the Poly this November. We have stayed at the Poly before, but this time we decided to upgrade this trip. Since we've never stayed club level before, what kind of things can we expect? Just wanting to hear opinions from those who have experienced it. Thanks all

I haven't stayed on the club level at the Poly, but I have stayed club level at the Contemporary, Yacht Club & Beach Club before. As stated above, there is a special concierge to help you. Continental Breakfast in the morning. (Coffee at 6:30am, then cont. breakfast starts at 7am) Light snacks in the afternoon. (Cookies, brownies, fresh fruit, sodas, bottled water, coffee, tea.) Hot & cold appetizers, wine, beer, & other beverages from 5-7pm. (The variety of appetizers seems to depend on the resort. Yacht Club was my favorite as about every 3rd day, they would have little bowls of lobster salad available.) Desserts, cordials, and other beverages from 8-10pm. I seem to remember them having some special things for kids as well, although since I don't have kids, I wasn't paying much attention.

Woo Hoo! Good for you! Club Level! You don't have to purchase a dining plan- plenty of food! LOL.:D We wouldn't be able to stay Club Level, unfortunately. But, I guess I wouldn't pay the extra even if I did have the money. I'd save and spend the money doing other things at Disney that I've never done before.:)

We stay at the BoardWalk, Club Level. This year I took full advantage of allowing them to make all my dining and special event arrangements. It took some pressure off of me and really allowed me to enjoy the trip planning process. Staff has been really fantastic and if I send an email, someone is always back to me within the hour.

The one thing that sealed the Club Level deal for me, they automatically print your boarding passes for your return trip home. Oh, the simple pleasures that make me so very happy. I did not have to worry about a single thing!

If you arrive during the day you should expect to be met upon arrival by a CM who will greet you by name & escort you to the concierge area for check-in vs. the front desk. When we stayed CL at the YC last Sept we were taken to our room first to settle in then went to the CL concierge area to take care of checking in. Refreshments as others have mentioned are a nice perk. During the day if you need anything you need only ask the concierge staff and they will assist you. Even in the afternoons before cordials/drinks were served if we asked for a cold beer or two they were always brought out for us. I do my own ADRs & planning but the IP folks w/the concierges can assist with all that before your trip. Also, during your trip if you need to make changes or want to see last minute availability somewhere the concierges will handle that as well. On our last stay in CL at the YC our youngest misplaced his gift card w/souvenir funds. The concierge staff used the receipt from us activating the card to find the card # and freeze the funds for us. We were able to put the frozen funds on a new card. Also, 1 night the same forgetful son left his pricey flip flops by the pool. The next morning we inquired w/the concierge staff where the hotel lost & found would be. They asked us what we were looking for, took a detailed description, then assured us they would find the missing footwear. Sure enough, when we returned to our room that afternoon the missin flip flops were sitting at the foot of his bed. One more above-n-beyond worth mentioning: my then-15 yro son decided on our last night that he didn't want to eat dinner with us. He wanted to eat at the Caoe May Clam Bake. He went to the concierge who treated him like any other adult guest. They made him feel like a million bucks, made his reservation, etc. he went to dinner solo and thoroughly enjoyed being his own "man". I know sometimes as adults we don't take kids/teens so serious but they all treated him with the same respect they would give to my husband or me. That meant a lot.

CL is nice. You should really enjoy the experience. Remember, if you need anything at all just ask your concierge staff. It's their specialty!

We have stayed CL at AKL, which was awesome. CL isn't just about the snacks, though (but who doesn't like not having to worry about breakfast every morning or a few beers in the evening). What sold us on CL for future trips was the service.

At about 190 days out or so we got an intro. e-mail from the AKL-IPO just to let us know who they were and what they could do for us. While we like to make our own ADRs, I let them know that we were interested in doing the Wanyama Safari (which could only be booked through them). Our 180 day mark was Easter Sunday and at 6 AM I got an e-mail from IPO with our confirmation for it. As I made (and changed and added and changed again) our ADRs, I would let the IPO know the date, time, confirmation number, etc. and they would edit our schedule. It was nice having a full schedule of where and what we planned on doing done for us. I also was planning a proposal and the IPO office was great at giving me suggestions (even though I didn't really go with any of them in the end).

The CL CMs were great. They always greeted us with a smile on their faces and were able to help us with anything we wanted. When we went up to the lounge after I proposed, without us saying anything, one of the CMs, Chris, congratulated us and ran into the back room at the lounge. He returned with 2 "Just Engaged" pins, dated with our names on them, and a gift from the lounge. He also, without telling us, added the engagement to all of our ADRs, which surprised us when our table at CG the following evening was covered in confetti. Marshall, another CM, helped us to get a room for a few extra nights after our flight was cancelled just minutes before ME was supposed to pick us up. Just to have the feeling of not having to worry about a thing totally makes CL worth it to us.

Absolutely! It's not just the snacks that make the experience. It's definitely the service. As incredible as the service has been both times we stayed CL, it's even better on the Disney cruises. Even the non-concierge is amazing. Concierge on the ship? OMG! I think if I'd mentioned it our concierge assigned to us would've brushed my teeth for me. Lol!

Its amazing! I can't speak for Poly, but I have stayed Club level at YC and GF. You will have breakfast in the a.m., snacks and drinks through out the day, you will have appetizers and drinkipoos in the evening. The concierge can work miracles and the services are top notch! You will love it!

You should be! I hope everything goes well for you. When we arrived after midnight at the AKL CL they don't have the full staff on-duty so it's just a regular ol' check-in. I knew to expect the big arrival greeting bit during the day, tho. In fact, when we pulled away from the YC guard shack I looked back and saw the nice gentleman guard fellow pick up the phone. I looked at my hubby and said, "Watch what happens when we pull up." Sure enough. When our car stopped a CM stepped to my door, opened it, then said "Welcome Mrs. Sutton! Mr. Sutton! Happy Anniversary!" I was geeking-out on the inside but trying to act normal on the outside. It was very cool.

We do Poly Concierge Level every year and love it. From the Concierge desk (even made hard-to-get-ADRs on a few trips for us), love the security (you need your KTTW cards to enter). The minute you get off of DME, you get a ride to the Hawaii building, greeted with terrific CMs at the Concierge desk. If your room isn't ready, you are still welcomed to the Concierge Lounge, to unwind, and its a terrific setting. In the morning, grab your refillable mug, get some coffee, danish, croissants, etc, and plan your day, while looking over Bay Lake. No better way to start the day. We absolutely love Polynesian's Kamehameha Club, from the beginning of your vacation, to the day of your departure, it just screams vacation!!! Have a wonderful trip!

Wow! That sounds amazing, thank you all for the responses. Going to disney is such an exciting event, and this is just added bonus. When I travel to Disney, I am just so happy to be there that I would stay anywhere, just get me on property. And from all the stories you have shared, it sounds like the resort is going to be a huge part of the trip. Another question, I believe there are two club level longhouses, do I need to call down to give my preference, or does it really matter? Thank you again for the responses, so easy to get answers. I need to start interacting more.

Yes, staying on property at a resort just completes the magic!! I can't speak to club level longhouses. But as you plan for the Poly, check out:

O, I love that website. I've actually stayed there once, November 2010, and visited on several occasions. We thought about trying other resorts, but there is something about that place. Tough to pull away from ol poly.

We have stayed club level at the Poly a few times and it is my VERY favorite - they take care of you and anything you need! and the food is great too... many times we would just snack around there while swimming, relaxing in the afternoons - the "punch' was good too..:)

We've been fortunate to stay club level at both the Poly and the CR. Both have incredible service and incredible food almost all day. While the concierge on the floor is friendly and helpful, keep in mind that if you don't have ADRs at a restaurant that is already sold out, there is nothing or very little they can do to make an opening appear.
