Christmas Lights

How long do the Christmas lights stay up at WDW? My next visit is the second week of January.

I believe they start taking down the decorations starting Jan 1st and they're completely removed by the 4th.

Due to all the cutbacks, the holiday entertainment (parades and shows) seem to end December 31st. I expect the holiday decorations, lights, and trees to be down by January 4th. If things are still up - it may not still be lit.

This leads to a question I have, do you guys think the Castle Light Show (the lighting of the ICE on the castle) will still take place on January 1st? I have been looking forward to seeing it all year long but it seems that I may just miss out.

oh i wish i could see these in person! when i got there last year on Jan 7th all of the lights had been taken down

Hi,

Last year I went from January 4th to January 12th and the last day for the Osborne XMAS light show was on the 4th and on the 5th, the castle still had lights on it.

Hope it will be the same for you this year!

Everything should be up and running until the weekend of January 4th (this is when the Osborne Lights stop operating). They will be taken down after this date - so things may still be up when you visit but won't be working

We get there on the 16th December and will be there for 3 weeks.
