Child restraint on flight to FL?

Does anyone know if a toddler has to have a restraint system like the "CARES" system for the flight or do they just recommend but not require? Were leaving heading to WDW in a couple weeks with our 3y/o and last time he flew he was an infant so we could hold him. Thanks

No they do not have to have a restraint. I have flown with my 2 yr old twins twice in the last 6 months. Being by myself I have opted to place on in a car seat and other I jsut let sit in the seat. I have several firends that are flight attendents and they come highly recommended for use but I have yet to drop the money they want one.

We've never used anything other than the regular seat belt and my kids are really small.
