Character Training at Epcot

Do they still do character training in Epcot. My wife's cousins are going in about 6 days and I told them about how we saw them doing it last summer. We saw them in between Canada and UK Pavilion. Does it still happen there?

I've seen them on the far left side of the American Adventure, on a pathway that leads backstage. Though, once again - that was probably about a year ago, and seemed to be very unscheduled. I've seen some interesting Instagram posts lately of characters meeting at the International Gateway entrance - these have all seemed to be face characters (search "Epcot International Gateway" under "Places" on Instagram if you want to see what I'm referencing). Not sure if this is something new or not.
