Beyond the parks!!!

Hello Disney Experts, I will be going to the World in the middle of July for 9 days, and while the parks are fantastic I wanted to know some of your favorite activities beside the rides. Also which water park do you prefer;
Blizzard Beach or Typoon. I personally like the wave pool at Blizzard as
it is calmer and won't knock you down. Some of the things I have done
already are: Keys To The Kingdom, Beyond The Seeds, Horseback Riding over @ Ft.Wilderness. Thanks once again for your thoughts. Master Yoda I know

Last summer we took my mom to the world, along with the entire family (sis, nephew etc) She is not much of a ride person therefore we really went out of the way to find things to do outside of the parks. We actually checked the activities at the resort, and found they offered jewelery making and painting pottery. We found it to be such a fantastic experience and has been one of the things that my mom still talks about. It isn't everyone's cup of tea but it was so relaxing and a great way to break up the vacation and to enjoy something outside the parks.
