Best Places to Watch Illuminations?

hi all

is there anywhere in WDW but not in the park where you can get a decent view of the illuminations fireworks??

eg. a resort hotel etc.

You can watch them from Yacht Club and BoardWalk. All 4 vacations at Yacht Club we were blessed with a direct lake/Epcot view. But most places at lakeside will offer decent views. You can also see a majority of fireworks from Caribbean Beach and also Pop Century.

We prefer to watch Illuminations from Showcase Plaza right along the water...but in order to do this you have to be there a good 1.5 hrs before the show starts in order to get a good spot. You also have to sit down here.

At the entrance to World Showcase in Showcase Plaza. There are less objects that could block your view there than anywhere else and it allows you to beat the majority of the crowd after the show concludes.
