Becoming a CM

I am in the air force and have a few years left. When I am done I was looking to getting a job at WDW does my military back ground help? I dont want that to be the reason why I would get hired I want be hired because of what I know and what I can do. Any info from CM's past or present is greatly appreciated thank you.

The only thing I would think military background would be beneficial on is in security. Other than that, it of course won't hurt you in applying for other positions!

Im guessing the mechanical training I have recived wouldnt hurt in getting something other then security although that wouldnt be bad just wonder what the pay is and how long it would take to get full time.
