AMC Downtown Disney showing 'DOCTOR WHO ...

I can't help but wonder how this would perform as a 'regular' theatrical release, for more than one day. It's not intended as more than a TV event, but I suspect it might surprise some people.

I can't help but wonder how a Dr Who movie in the Imagination pavilion would be. but that is very wishful dreaming...

I don't know; the merchandise appears to be selling at the shops in the UK pavilion. Certainly, I saw more variety in their DW offering this year than I did last Christmas. If it continues, maybe Disney might approach the BBC for a licensing deal for an attraction *crosses fingers*.

Tennant or Smith would make an excellent partner with Figment, Imagination History...

the crazy duo could go to the past, and pop up in scenes that are from Spaceship Earth... then Rory could
come out of the Roman scene wearing his centurion outfit....too many possibilities..

ok, now I realize I am watching way too much Dr Who.....sorry....
Oh god no, anything but that

No such thing. Get Moffat in a room with the Imagineers and let them go nuts. Maybe we could get even something really crazy like multiple Doctors.

Also, you'd need Madam Vastra, Jenny, and that crazy little Sontaran guy.

His name is Strax, and he is awesome!

What? Since Disney has partnered with non-Disney companies to build attractions, you expect them to pick a franchise with a large fan base and proven longevity? Quit it, your making too much sense. Personally I think it should go in the UK. It would fit in perfectly there and the World Showcase needs more attractions.

I tried watching a few episodes...can't see the appeal

Same here...and I WANTED to like it.
David Tennant was great...but it just couldn't hold my appeal at all.

While it's a large fanbase, it's a very "love it or hate it" franchise. There really isn't "mass-appeal" once you get past the large devote fanbase.

I think a lot of it depends on who's in the show. Who really took off with Tenant as the Doctor, because women LOVE him. Billy Piper also seems ridiculously popular with the female fans of the show (I'd share some comments female acquaintances have made, but there a little risque for a family friendly board such as this).

Ugh, I was not a Rose fan. I didn't really enjoy the show until Martha Jones.
