Prompt One
The Moving Park
latest

Year: 2466 AD

“Welp, that didn’t say 450 years. That said 45. Oops.”

"Welcome to the future imagineers - where innovation is key to get success."

As space travel becomes more and more commonplace, more and more people have been visiting the galaxy. However, still studies show that only 6% of people own a spacecraft and only 15% of people have left their solar system! Disney intends to revolutionize space travel by building the largest space ship known to life. Our ship will be able to travel across the galaxy, which brings us to objective B.

Rather than just making a space cruise ship, you are making a moving theme park. We can save costs by building this spaceship with a themed environment with E-Tickets, D-Tickets, Restaurants, and everything that makes your favorite Magic Kingdom great! Thus, we don't have to construct new theme parks across the galaxy; rather we can build multiple ships to bring the theme parks to them!

Your job is to design this space-ship. There are 16 of you and here are sample things that need to be done. None of these are necessary just ideas:

-Ship Map
-Excursions
-Room layouts
-Entertainment (Rides, Shows, Pools, or something new?)
-Food
-Itinerary
-Cast Member Facilities
-Parking facilities

Work together to succeed. The judges for this round (me, voxel, and englanddg) will monitor the PM and decide who has not been pulling their weight to send them back to the past.

Ender's Award
-In the spirit of strategy and encouragement, the person who deem the best work in this round will get automatic passage into round three. But - they won't know who they are.

Eisner's Game Round One (Part 1)

For this challenge, imagineers were tasked with designing a futuristic theme park on a space cruise ship with the capability of interstellar travel.

Introduction

The year is 2466 AD

Hundreds of years ago, the words "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" ushered in a wave of space exploration and opened our eyes to the enlightenment of human discovery. For decades later, we strove to reach beyond our earth, and explore the great beyond.

Timeline of NASA Events:

2036 - Orion IV crew lands on Mars, and mankind has officially walked on two planets.
2045 - Aries XV rocket and its crew lands on Asteroid 32 - in the asteroid belt beyond Mars
2057 - Discovery II lands on the moon of Titan, use of hypersleep is achieved due to the long spaceflight to Saturn.
2088 - Discovery X travels into Neptune and images of the gas giant are taken from inside.
2120 - Phoenix V lands on Venus - with the production of a heat shield that sustains 800 degree heat on the surface; mankind walks on 3 planets.
2150 - NASA launches a full-scale effort to pierce the edge of the solar system, using a demo warp drive, many flight tests unsuccessful.
2200 - Disney and NASA team up to design a resort on the Moon.
2286 - Discovery XX - successfully lands on Pluto - mankind walks on first dwarf planet
2320 - NASA Warp drive complete - Discovery XXV - breaks the speed of light and travels outside the solar system to the Atlas system
2322 - Discovery XXV and A.I.R. land on Xanadu - mankind walks on the first planet outside the solar system.
2350 - Warp Drive 2.0 allows one to travel out of the solar system in 1 month.
2380 - Warp Drive 3.0 allows interstellar travel to be accomplished in 1 week.
2400 - Warp Drive 4.0 introduces Mach 7 - "lightspeed" achieved.
2410 - Discovery of Wormhole, allows transport to thousands of other galaxies on the other side of the universe.
2340 - Over 75 known planets in the attainable universe have life, NASA travels to 50 of them, deem them habitable.
2440 - Disney and NASA team up to design the Disney Space Cruise Line - a traveling space ship showing guests the edges of the solar system and excursions around the universe.
2466 - Disney Nebula blasts off for the first time.

The Disney Nebula FAQ
disneynova-png.177669

What is the Disney Nebula?

The Disney Nebula is the first of a Disney Space Cruise Line fleet that offers one of the most unique experiences in the universe that you can find. The massive circular ship, with a diameter of 10 football fields, is essentially, a flying Disney Resort. Acting as both a theme park and a space cruise, the Disney Nebula offers guests a unique interpretation of the Magic Kingdom to enjoy while sailing the stars towards different habitable planets in the universe for you as guests to explore.

How do you board the Disney Nebula?

Docked in atmospheric earth, a space elevator will allow transport to the mast of the ship - and you and your family will board the ship from the space elevator docking terminal.

What is there to do on the Disney Nebula?

On board the ship - you will find the magic of a Disney Resort - in the confines of a space ship traveling at lightspeed through the galaxy.

Accommodating rooms, luxurious restaurants, theatrical plays, and more exist inside the ship. The enormous sphere in the center contains the theme park and entertainment zones. Wherever you might end up aboard the ship, you'll always fine some bit of the Disney touch as you travel through the stars.

How does the Disney Nebula fly?

The Disney Nebula uses the Warp Drive 4.0 engine with Mach 7 lightspeed capabilities. In addition - to maintain gravity, the circular designed ship creates artificial gravity by rotating on its axis and spinning at a constant speed as it travel to its destinations.

Disney Nebula Crew

Most of guest services and on stage personnel will be robots over laid with human features for a more comfortable guests experience. These full motion range robots will operate the attractions, cook in the restaurants, and handle all custodial concerns. Where possible, automation will take over for their human counterparts. This will improve guest service as all robots will be downloaded with many languages and dialects specific to each planet in the known universe. No longer will communication be limited as in the past. To further assist with this issue, automatic language translations are available under each area name.

Although much of the work has been automated, there are still many squads of human cast members to keep an eye on the ship and help in emergency situations including in extreme cases that require the guests to leave the ship. The crew of support staff operates in rotations of four, so there is always a human element on duty. All support staff work and live in the double outer rings, not only to keep the on stage illusion for guests, but to provide the human support crew with their own personal space to relax and interact with each other.

betta_living_future_room_.jpg

Crew quarters are far more luxurious than on any previous vessel. Dealing with the rigors of long times in space, each crew member is offered a bigger room complete with a small kitchen, ample seating, and access to various entertainment options.

Like the 20th century Aircraft carriers, each support staff crew member has their own role primarily designated by the color of the jumpsuit they wear. These jumpsuits are required for all on duty, human personnel to quickly determine to their fellow crew members what their job is. These jumpsuits also identify the difference between human and machine.

Mission Control
Mission Control is a facility that manages the space flight path of the Disney Nebula. A staff of flight controllers and other support personnel monitor all aspects of the ship's flight path using telemetry, and send commands for course alterations. Personnel support staff can include representatives of the attitude control system, power, propulsion, thermal, attitude dynamics, orbital operations and other subsystem disciplines. Although much of the process and day to day operations are automated, there is always human support staff stationed there as well.

Medical Center
full
There are a plethora of first aid station located through out the theme park worlds, but there is also full med facility staffed with doctors with the capability to consult specialists if the need ever arises. Serious cases may have to disembark and be taken planet side. There are even privacy pods to assist the symptoms of space sickness.

Fire Response Units
All fires are initially handled by robots, Dicers, that are attached to a sliding mechanism along the full length of the corridors. When a fire is detected a small device is released to attempt to put out the fire.

Maintenance Bay
full

Although most maintenance for both theme park and the Nebula ship is performed by robots, there are still several shifts of maintenance personnel working around the clock to ensure the ship and all its amenities run smoothly. This support staff's main job is to repair what the automated machines cannot and to fix the repair bots if they malfunction.

Shuttles
At the start of their vacations, guests can arrange from shuttle transportation from the planet to the Disney Nebula.

This luxury shuttle will be the first thing Disney guests see so the interior must be state of the art with a cool, clean look. Guests can watch movies, conduct last minute business, or even manage their vacation plans from their seats while they travel to the ship.

Excursions

1 - Xanadu
full

One of the very first planets mankind walked on outside the solar system, Xanadu, was discovered by A.I.R (Association for Intergalactic Reconnaissance). After one of A.I.R.’s long-range telescopes picked up a potentially habitable planet in the Atlas Star System, 2.5 light years away, Planet X171, Emmanuel Wu sent orbiters to the planet to research its contents and determine if it was a habitable. Deemed similar to Earth’s atmosphere, Wu gathered his team, Maggie Wright, Tom Edson, and Sam Davis to prepare to journey to X171. The planet was eventually named Xanadu, after Wu’s wife who died in a tragic accident on an earlier test of the new Aries rockets. Thanks to the findings of Wu and his team, a colony was established on this planet and grew into a heavily populated community and the first stepping stone for humanity to explore the galaxy. Sivad, the most valuable resource on the planet, is also its biggest export. This planet has a lavender moon that is home to a unique rock, Secretous787, not found anywhere else in the solar system.

Xanadu Excursion One – A.I.R. Musuem
The A.I.R. Museum was founded by Emmanuel Wu soon after colonists started arriving on Xanadu. He created it so newcomers would be able to experience the history of A.I.R. and why it came to be. Many interactive displays in the museum feature information about the indigenous life on Xanadu as well as the colonies on Titan and Mars. Officially run by a great descendant of Wu’s, the A.I.R. Museum immortalizes all of the discoveries and history of these brave explorers.

Xanadu Excursion Two – Decoris Canyon Adventure
Hike through the forest and meet up with your guides at your campsite to begin a boating trip down the neon blue plasma river. Breathe in the beautiful scenery, and keep your holo cams ready as a variety of wildlife can often be seen at the river’s edge, including: Trankertops and Septarus. Guests will disembark at Decoris Canyon where refreshments will be served and allow for short explorations. Back on board the boats, guests will continue through Decoris Canyon before returning to camp.

Xanadu Excursion Three – Space Rover Safari
Drive your very own space rover and roar over the rocky terrain to see the natural wonders of Xanadu. Sights include the Decoris Canyon Rim, forest trails, and the various wildlife, such as Trankertops and Septarus.

Xanadu Excursion Four – Lavender Moon Dig Site
From the Disney Nebula, guests will be shuttled to the Lavender Moon to pan and search for Secretous787. Each guest will be shown the best ways to find this unusual rock and given techniques on how to safely excavate it. Then guests are let loose to search for any deposits and try to find this elusive rock. Any Secretous787 found may be claimed and sold at the on-site purser or taken home as one most unique souvenirs of the Atlas Star System.

Cesium is a rare Earth metal that is commonly called the most active metal on earth due to its liquificaiton at room temperature. However, due to immense cosmic radiation over the years, scientists and astronauts, in their exploration of the universe after the discovery of warp drive, found a planet in the X2 galaxy that has developed a large amount of liquid cesium.

This cesium however, is different than on earth - the astronauts realized that whatever elements were on the planet reacted with their nervous systems and musculature systems - giving them the ability to jump very high, in particular due to lower atmospheric gravity concentrations and whatever radioactive cesium material was on the planet.

In order to ensure this radioactive material wasn't harmful - you wear cosmic radiation protective suits when visiting the land - and when the Disney space cruises decided that this would be a good location - they themed the planet to superheros from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Now the cosmic radiation suits are themed to characters from the films - such as Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Dr. Strange, Star-Lord, War Machine, Falcon, and so on -- all super-heroes with some capacity of flying and jumping high. The true attraction on Cesium isn't any sort of colony or habitat, as no sentient life has been found on the planet, but a quick road trip stop to be a superhero on your journey through space aboard the Disney Nebula.

4 - Egroeg
The Fourth planetary stop is Egroeg, a primarily mining planet that provides most of the galaxy’s precious minerals. As an extremely important resource, this planet was mined heavily, so much so, that vast tracks of land have become little more than wastelands, populated with large swaths of deserts broken up by smaller mountain ranges. In an effort to stem the destruction of this planet, strict limits were put on how much can be mined per year, saving what little woodland remained, but leaving the majority of the populace struggling for money. It was fortunate that around this time Disney was looking for a permanent back drop for a new series of Star Wars movies and TV shows. Egroeg and its two moons, Nontlaw and Sacul, were deemed perfect replacements for the CG that was slowly becoming an overused tool. Great Star Wars films like: The Sith Wars Trilogy, The Origin Trilogy, Invasion of the Yuuzahn Vong, as well as the controversial reboots of the Original Trilogy and the Pre-quel Trilogy and the popular TV shows: Droids and Underground were all filmed on location here. As permanent set pieces remain scattered around Egroeg and both its moons, it has become a popular tourist spot for Star Wars enthusiasts. As part of the agreement between Disney and the people of Egroeg, tours can be offered when not filming, and thus, tourism became the supplemental income of Egreog. To further increase revenues, several interactive adventures are offered to make fans feel as if they have stepped into the Star Wars movies.

Excursion One: Star Wars – The Movies (Utapau, Ilum)

Disney Nebula - Theme Park Overview

--Park Map--
31374139132_654a9620c5_b.jpg

One of the most exciting new Disney Parks has opened aboard the Disney Nebula. While this park is the most massive of any of the Disney properties, there is still room for future expansions such as Oceania and Historia that are already slated to open over the next few years. Step into 4 all encompassing worlds and an entertainment area that will make guests forget they are aboard a spaceship: Fantasy Gardens, The Frontier, New Grid City, Adventureland, and the Theatre District.

Fantasy Gardens invokes all the magic that Disney has created over the many years from the earliest Disney princesses to its first ever dragon! Siting at the focal point of Fantasy Garden is the newest castle to join the line up: Castle of the Stars. So put on your tiara and raise your sword to step into 5 separately themed areas of Fantasy Gardens.

The Frontier is a brand new take on the final frontier. Gone are the old west cowboys and Indians portrayed in the original Disneyland; now get ready to enter an alien world filled with strange creatures and alien outlaws. Saddle up, Ymir awaits.

Based off the reinvigorated popularity of Tron comes New Grid City, a place filled with stunning buildings and visuals, but also where the Glitch army battles against the users and Lars and his Program army. Dust off your gaming skills because the future of New Grid City is in your hands.

Adventureland takes you from the wilds of space to the wilds of the jungle. This world has a refreshing mix of nostalgia with new updates. Many guests will recognize some of the original incarnations of the original Dsineyland rides, but keep a weather eye open, this isn't your grandma's Adventureland. New twists lie around every corner, guaranteed to keep you on your toes.

The Theatre District is home to three different types of theatres, each guaranteed to please even the pickiest of people. From the grandness of Broadway to the edgy original productions, this area retells the beloved classics with a twist and the newest of Disney's stories. Come, sit for a while, and be taken away by the magic of the stage.

Transportation

Taking a page from an old ride that was intended to be guest transportation, the Disney Nebula has implemented the Peoplemover. As the ship is incredibly massive, this transportation system will get guests to their destinations quickly, smoothly, and quietly. There are actually 3 different lines to travel on: The Red Line, The Blue Line, and The Yellow Line.

The Red Line services the Theatre District including the Salon and Spa, and the shuttle hanger. This line does not go into the park.

The Blue Line, much like the old Disney Railroad, encompasses the entire park, gliding along the borders of each world. The Blue Line will stop twice in each World, saving the guests from walking the length of 10 football fields to get from one World to another.

The Yellow Line is for cast members only. Running the length of the outer rings, the Yellow Line is the main transportation for all support crews to get from their rooms to their respective areas. In case of emergencies, the Yellow Line may be used by the Fire Response Team, EMS, or the police.

image_zps9t6c18pi.jpeg

This ride, loosely based on Dragonriders of Pern will wind guests through a magical layer, before being instructed as to how to board dragons. Guests then enter a large circular room full of Dragon AAs here, guests climb up the stair-like scales on the tails onto a mounted saddle. Soon, with a hydraulic lift underneath, the dragons are lifted up into a large dome, where holograms surround guests, making them feel as if they are flying over magical mountains and forests, while narrowly dodging other dragons.

Last but not least is Festival Gardens:
image_zpsmcdvmeg0.jpeg

Here, guest can enter the indoor Friendship Festival or enter the festivus theater and watch the Festival of Fantasy show. In this show, favorite characters from an assortment come together to celebrate what is special about each other, while promoting messages of acceptance and togetherness. Inside a magnificent tent façade akin to Philharmagic's present day WDW façade, guests will enter the friendship festival. On the right is a re-imagined Mad Tea Party, that is madder. Now guests will board a tilted platform similar to a Calypso flat ride, and spin at an angle, while spinning your cup. To the left in the front is the new Dance Festival, where guests can board dancing carriages that intertwine with trackless technology. This ride , along with the following are made for quick rethemes in the even of successful movies. Next is the Maypole Festival, a whip ride where each turntable has a maypole in the center, with its ribbons leading to where carts attach, making it seem like you are twirling the maypole.

Overall, Fantasy Gardens will be in the heart of the Disney Nebula, and please guests for years to come.

Welcome to Disney Nebula's very own theater district, where guests of the resort can see technically marvelous and beautifully crafted works of art. Here at the Theater District, a wide selection of rotating shows across three gorgeously built theaters. In addition, one of a kind restaurants will be housed in the Theater District, making guests' night at the theater an experience they'll never forget.

Layout
The Theatre District is in the shape of a large city square. After entering in from a series of large arches, a small garden in the center provides a classy waiting area for guests awaiting the start of their show or meal. On the left lies The Hyperion Theatre and Stage Door Table. On the right lies The Sherman Theatre. The center holds The Palace Theatre.

  • Beauty and the Beast - a revival of Disney classic Broadway version of the show featuring new redesigned costumes and the additions of songs from the 2017 live action remake
  • Cinderella - an adaptation of Disney's classic featuring new songs, an updated story, and new costumes transforming the show into a steampunk fairytale.
  • Celestia - an adaptation of Disney's space soaring fairytale with all new songs and astounding special effects.
As for the theatre itself, the architectural design will evoke a broadway theatre of the modern era. There will be three levels to view shows from, including an Orchestra, Mezzanine and Balcony (as well as traditional box seats).

The show ends in tragedy as, with no antidote for the curse and the Philip's defeat of Maleficent leaving no knowledge of an antidote, Philip kisses Aurora to say goodbye and himself falls under the curse, the two entombed forever, never aging and dreaming of each other in the highest tower of the castle.

  • Tangled - This new take on the story of Rapunzel takes on a globetrotting theme in the style of the 20th Century Fox film Anastasia. The Sherman Theatre (Dark on Thursdays)
The Sherman Theatre is by far, the most experimental theatre in the Theater District's lineup. The smaller, theatre in the round setting offers a more intimate experience for guests. The shows playing here, rotating weekly, are state of the art and are created specifically for the theater in the round set up.
  • Lady of the Lake - This performance of the Arthurian fantasy updates the setting to a 22nd century space opera as Lorelei encounters various aliens and monsters in her quest.
  • Villain's Tonight - Hades welcomes us to the Underworld as he shows off a celebration of Disney's baddest baddies to make the Underworld even darker.
  • Eternally Your's - Disney's hit heartbreaking take on grief moves the setting to the end of 1945, as Lydia celebrates the end of the War while also mourning her husband lost in the final battle.
  • Golden Storybook Ball - Every Disney Princess invite you to a celebration of their stories in a fairytale ball of music and magic.
The theater itself will have wide, plush velvet seats. A round auditorium directs down to a circular stage, where a series of trapdoors and turntables help bring each and every story to life.

The Restaurants
At The Theater District, two sit down restaurants will complete one's trip to see a show.

Hyperion Table
The Hyperion Table is located inside the Hyperion Theater, at the mezzanine level. Cuisine ranges from all kinds of world (and out of this world) cuisines. The main purpose of this restaurant is to allow guests to dine while seeing a show. Dining hours begin one hour prior to each show's performance. Matinée performances serve lunch, while evening performances serve dinner.

Stage Door Table
The second restaurant is more upscale and located outside the three theaters. Therefore, any guest can dine at this restaurant without seeing a show. Due to a shared kitchen, menu items will be slightly similar (with different variations of different dishes).

Disney Nebula Theme Park Continued...

The Frontier -

The Backstory:

After the first breakthroughs of humans travelling in space, and living on foreign planets in the 21st century many took to space seeing a chance for economic growth. Sir Kishma traveled to the far off planet of K-12051901, or better known as Ymir. However most historians suggest that he actually crash landed due to the strong magnetic force of Ymir. Surviving documents and images show that Ymir was a dry planet during the day due to its twos suns leaving the planet brown, and with closed trunks and buds seemingly dead. However once it turns night the trunks and buds slowly open revealing bioluminescent plants. From the caves that led deep into the core come out giant winged beasts that resemble dragonflies the size of airplanes. In various valleys sponge like mosses release water causing large rivers, lakes, and oceans to be formed overnight.

Kishma along with a team of scientists went trekking through the cave systems in search of clues what could've caused the magnetic pull, and there efforts paid off when they found Kyrosddome a magnetic crystal rarely found in space that glisten like diamonds and in the right chemical solution could lose its magnetic properties and be used for fancy jewelry. Kishma relayed a transmission back to his company Lakmi. In just a few months Kishma Town was founded, and Ymir was purchased by Lakmi. Over the years more mining towns spread throughout the towns as the wilds of Ymir were tamed. At the turn of the 23rd Century Ymir sought to be free from Lakmi, and they rebelled by savagely murdering those that oversaw the mining operations of Lakmi which were leaving the planet dry of any resources. Lakmi was overthrown, but the legacy of those that first founded civilization on Ymir were not stained by the happenings at the turn of the 23rd century.

The Rebellion of Lakmi lasted nearly 15 years, and those 15 years were chaotic on Ymir. Space pirates would swoop in to steal resources much like the Great Train robberies of the Wild West, many mine shafts exploded and the miners that were killed began to haunt the mines, entire towns were abandoned due to a combination of pirates kidnapping children and women while their sources of income were quite literally blown up. And this is where our land takes place stuck in those awful 15 years at Yakkima a small town named after the Yakkima Point and Mines. Where at any moment Space pirates can swoop in, or Space Rangers (Polices in Space) could lock up a rogue citizen, or maybe even a hover train haunted by deceased miners begins to run again.

Yakkima Zoo

A large wall made of rustic metal surround the inner area of the Yakkima Zoo. As guests enter the main town of Yakkima Zoo they may notice the entrance due to the sign hanging from the archway, and the carving of a Greater Draconicus. The sign is made from Kyro Fungus, and as such at night in cetain parts of it glows. As guests enter the zoo they enocunter a map of the relatively small zoo which is split into three main areas:
- Yakkima Plains
- The Seas of Ymir
- Draconicus Encounter

more_by_tcool123-dar3w3d.png

Yakkima Plains

As guests journey into Yakkima Plains they are surrounded by artificial Groas, and several large Babaun trees. There will be two exhibits here. The first exhibit is a rocky, and contains various lifelike Kyrotor animatronic that freely roam, blink, stick out their tongues, run, jump, and a bunch of other cool features that will cause guests to think they are seeing the real thing.

The other exhibit is of the common cruorclava, a bat like animal that only feeds on the barklike substance of the Kyro Fungus. It is also one of the few animals on Ymir that are diurnal. In order to stay cool its ears arenearly 2 feet in length and 11 inches in width, and they also have thick skin to block out the dangerous UV rays that have dried up the day. The exhibit they are kept in have force field around them keeping them inside; some will be holograms, and others will be full on animatronics that can fly, or more rather falling with style.

The Seas of Ymir

The Seas of Ymir will be a walkthrough aquarium where the only thing keeping guests out of the water, is a very thin force field. If it were to fail, well lets just say there will be some very happy aquatic life. If that doesn't make you feel cool, we have authentic sponger moss that during the day sucks up the water, but at night releases its water as it faintly glows shades of purple and blue.

The-Georgia-Aquarium-USA_Acrylic-Tunnel-_554.jpg

Throughout operating hours the seas will empty and refill systematically, as guests watch animatronics of the marine life interact with their current environment. There will be many animatronics of one particular species of marine life, and that's the Bonefish. The Bonefish is just that fishbones that can swim, clear skin covers the bones, and seems into the bones during the day. While at night the skin puffs out and fills with water along with its internal organs.

Draconicus Encounter

The star attraction of the zoo is a chance to encounter the Greater Draconicus. Guests will come into a silo like building where a juvenile Greater Draconicus is awaiting. Guests will be able to interact, pet and even mount the animatronic beast. Every once in a while it begins to act up, and cast members come in to act up. The silo's ceiling will appear to be larger than what it actually is due to the use of projections. Above guests will be able to see Draconicus fly from their nests, and in general interact with their environment.

Alienating Life and Where to Find Them:

Plants :
- Kyro Fungus: A widespread fungus that grows deep in the ground, and has traces of being of a 95 million years old organism all interconnected beneath the crust of Ymir. It has a hard dry exterior that forms longs trunks, that only opens during the night. During the night the fungus glows, and actually grows very slowly. High amounts of carbon causes it to quickly harden is suppose to harden to avoid being burned by the sun. Most bioluminescent plants are connected in some way to this fungus.
- Yakkima Flower: The yakkima flower is named after Yakkima Point, and is the official flower of Territory 3C on Ymir. It is in the same genus as the Kyro Flower, and as such at night the bud opens up to reveal the bioluminescent interior that attracts pollinators to it.
- Wild Kyops: Small flowers that open and close when they sense a potential predator. The kyops grow on thin trunks that are typically seen throughout the Yakkima Mines. When they open they shoot out pheromones that have been compared to the scent of roses.
- Domesticated Kyops: Small flowers that thanks to the scientific enhancements of Dr Botamal, have had an ancient inactive gene brought back again. Due to the slicing of DNA it now produces an edible when cooked fruit that has a taste similar to Cotton Candy.

Animals :
- Banded Draconicus: A 10 feet long dragonfly like predator that flies through the night. The bands on its underbelly glow through the night. The Banded Draconicus is the only one of its species that has the ability spit out toxins. Due to the dangerous nature of its species the Banded Draconicus is typically murdered on sight even though a poacher can face op to 50 years in prison. In the wild there are only about 50 or so of these creatures left.
- Domesticated Draconicus: A 10 feet long dragonfly like herbivore, the Domesticated Draconicus has been heavily modified. The domesticated subspecies weighs up to three times the Banded Draconicus enabling its wings useless. The domesticated variety are typically immobile due to their immense weight. They are typically slaughtered for not only their protein, but for the chemicals that cause them to go glow which tastes like cow milk.

Yakkima Point Explorers Trail

This trail promises to offer guests to get in tune with the nature along Yakkima Point Explorers Trail. There will be two trails present: Beginners or Intermediate. Guests begin to queue up in a forest of hardened Kyro Fungus, above the guests are various nets and causeways that the explorers will occasionally pass by.

On the beginners trail guests will walk around on ridges get close up to waterfalls, along with hanging glowing plants. While on the Intermediate trial, the walkways are smaller, and guests go higher and eventually are allowed to zipline.

Yakkima Point Mine Train

Guests go through a highly themed mine with various alien plants growing throughout the mine. As guests weave around caves with hanging plants that glow, and various majestic landscapes. Eventually guests reach the loading station, and to some guests surprise they will see that the mine trains are hover trains.

beauty.jpg

Guests will board trains, and go off to ride on a hover train that is guided by GPS. The train zooms off from the station at 30 mph, and continues zipping through caves and the mountains of Yakkima Point. The ride ends as guests enter a mine, and see a bunch of bombs's fuses being lit, and a ghastly face appearing. The vehicle begin to try to exit out of the mine, and the rocks begin to fall as blasts begin to go off. The ride comes to a close as guests end with one final drop escaping the explosion. In total the ride will have 5 to 6 drops.

Outer Rimmer Saloon

Home to the acclaimed Draconicus Burger, the Outer Rimmer Saloon offers a chance for diners to eat something foreign. The saloon offers lunch and dinner on one singular menu. The menu takes on a riff from typical theme park menu of chicken fingers and burgers with the use of authentic Ymir foods. Throughout the operating hours a 15 minute saloon show is offered to diners.

Poky's

Poky's was established by the local miners who wanted a place to just have a finer taste in life. And by finer, I mean nicer than the questionable gray slime served at the mine commissary. Poky with some funds from the mine, he was able to open up his restaurant. With a reservation made guests can dine on comfort food from Earth with a twist as some of the ingredients would be alienating with substitutions with various products from Ymir.

The Miner's Wares

Selling merchandise themed to Yakkima Point Mine Train along with wares based on The Frontier, and general merchandise from around the park. This serves as the gift shop for Yakkima Point Mine Train.

Space Pirate's Hull

Selling merchandise themed to along with wares based on The Frontier, and general merchandise from around the park. This serves as the gift shop for Space Rangers : Battle at Yakkima Train.

Space Rangers : Battle at Yakima

Guests enter the ranger department for Yakkima, and course through a long winding queue. In the queue guests will learn more about how the Space Rangers keep the criminals of the galaxy in check. As guests approach the end of the queue they enter the pre show room, and are briefed into he crisis at hand. A group of space pirates led by Jace Spacerrow, well Galactical Captain Jace Spacerrow. Either way guests are now appointed Honorary Space Rangers, that wil be going under cover and doing Mr Spacerrow's crew.

After the preshow guests enter their ride vehicles. Similar to that of a trackless ride vehicle, but instead it has the ability to hover using similar technology similar to that used on Yakkima Point Mine Train.

Scene 1 : Traces

The vehicles depart the station, and are soon on their way to the space pirate ship. The vehicles go through various caverns, and see traces of Kyrosddome which cause magnetic disturbances with the ride vehicle. This causes the vehicles to swerve a bit. The vehicles stop in front of a pirate crew about to leave. The pirates turn around, and Jace welcomes them to the crew. However one of the smarter pirates quickly point out that the guests are part of the space rangers. Jace pulls out a Sonic Boom Ray, and shoots the guests. The vehicles spin around, and go quickly backwards as they enter the next scene.

Scene 2 : Beginning

As the vehicles focus, they see Jace ride in on a hoverbike. He bids his newly acquainted friends goodbye as he threatens them with a deathray. As he aims at guests, he pulls the trigger, but unfortunately it does not fire. He begins to shake the ray, and blows into the firing hole. He's about to discard the ray, but it clumsily fires into a cave wall.

He takes aim at the guests once more, but the vehicles begin to move out of the way of the ray's fire. Jace insists that you stay still, but unfortunately the vehicles do not comply. He continues to fire, but comically misses. He decides to just chase after you.

Scene 3 : Chase

western.png

The vehicles begin to hover, as a hologram of Jace on hoverbike chases after guests shooting his deathray. Guests will be able to experience the wonder of flying, and fleeing from evil until the vehicles enter a cave. Within the encounter a sleeping Greater Draconicus, Jace enters and freaks out. He tells them to be silent as to not wake the beast. He begins to get to ready his death ray, but a near off explosion shakes the room. Jace lets out a pirate curse as the Greater Draconicus wakes up. He begins to shoot his ray at the Draconicus, but to no avail. He tells the guests to save themselves, as the Draconicus begins to attack Jace. The vehicles soon leave the cave, but not until they hear wings begin to kick off. The Draconicus begins to chase the guests down until the enter a cave, and the Draconicus abandons its chase.

Scene 4: Finale

Gusts circle around various biolumniscent plants and reflective Kyrosddome. The vehicles renter the loading station as they are congratulated because due to their diversion they were able to catch the pirate crew, but not Jace. An interference enters the transmission, and it is Jace thanking the guests for stopping a certain mutiny he was surely about to face when he returned with the guests still alive.

Tron: New Grid City
th

With the success of Tron: Reawakening and the followup series, the next big step to bring the classic series into the new age is with a new land in Disney Nebula. This is New Grid City, the tourist capital of the Grid. Some parts are luxurious, but we are transported to the North Side, the more dangerous side of the city. The riffraf outside may be unbearable, but in the center is the main attraction, the beautiful Grand Program Palace, towing over Disney Nebula at a top height of 500 feet.

v66v6x.jpg

The Palace is home to only the top of the line in hands on experiences and entertainment in all of The Grid, but most notably:

  1. Christo and Bangalter's: This 5 star restaurant located in the Center Diamond is the most unique experience in all of the land. The course may be not too special, nor is the service, but the theming is simply amazing. The theme is a dedication to the band who's look and feel has influenced Tron as a whole for the modern age, Daft Punk.
  2. Flynn's: The creator of the Grid was the great man Kevin Flynn. He may be gone, but his name lives on in the next generation of entertainment experiences. Yes, because Flynn's will be the first ever Zero Gravity Rave Club! Using the lack of gravity around the park, this club allows it's guests to float around and dance to the amazing music inspired by those two friendly robot men previously mentioned, Daft Punk. Also in the club will be some of the most advanced laser and pyro effects known to man to create a crazy good music experience.
  3. Light Cycle Racers: Located in The Left Wing of The Palace is the first major attraction, a light cycle arena race that is the next generation Tomorrowland Speedway. In this ride, guests old enough to provide any ID strap into their very own Light Cycle and go for a few laps around a circular track against up to 9 other racers. And for those who want to cheer on their favorite racers, there is an elevated viewing platform over the arena to watch your friends and family duke it out to be the next Grid Racer Champion.
  4. Tron: Escape From New Grid City: Located in the massive Grid Tower in the back will be the new great Disney drop ride. The plot of the ride will revolve around Lars and his crew trying to bust a mob boss from the criminal underworld. What makes this drop ride special is that not only does it move through the tower and go up and down, but it also goes upside down! That's right, this new thrill ride is all the joy of feeling that loss of gravity hit you right in the gut as you go plummeting down to catch the mob boss known only as the infamous Bounty.
  5. Tron: Quest For the Golden Disc: Located in the humongous Right Wing of the Palace is the successor to 3D dark rides, and the biggest attraction in the Palace. The Glitches have come back, and this time they've come for The Golden Disc, the sacred object that holds the memories of every Program in the Grid. So you, along with Lars and the Program Army, must go into battle to chase down and save the Golden Disc before it is destoryed forever. What makes this different is the climax of the attraction, the final battle. This is where you use a joystick to find and de-rez as many Glitches as possible before time runs out, and your vehicle goes for the final run for the Disc. This ride will be fully immersive and unique in ways that cannot be described, and is the crown jewel of the entire land.

New Grid City seeks to provide new and mature ideals to the common theme park experience and truly is a marvel and a sign of the true power of technology. Have fun!

Adventureland

Adventureland is one of the most classic lands in any theme park. Of course, in 450 years, this fact isn't going to change, but the way it has to be presented will. In the ship, the new Adventurland is going to be nothing like what you can see today, but rather a whole new experience of futuristic adventure. With a whole new aesthetic to match this tomorrowland-esque wild land of both discovery and peril, it will be one of the hallmark environments of this next level of themed entertainment ship!

These images below present an idea of how the land will look:
jungle-village-future.jpg

scifi_jungle_by_kaioshen-d61zwsi.jpg

One of the key features of this is that, it doesn't define one specific location. Much like MK in contrast to DAK, this wild nature environment is ambiguous in where it takes place, keeping a sense of magic alive. In addition, because this is the future and space is much more of a legitimate place to go to, this land takes cues from other planet adventure landscapes in addition to earth.

The Jungle Cruise
The Jungle Cruise is an absolute Disney classic, and is no doubt going to be replicated here. The boat will take off from a bay much like the one in the second picture above. In addition, it isn't you're average jungle cruise, but rather a journey that explores different alien creatures and plant life! The river changes to different colors, you ride through glow in the dark caves, and even some mysterious, high-tech moving alien animal animatronics out to attack you! And of course, this is all done in a comical way.
Because this is a ship rather than a theme park where guests are coming in all the time for their experience, guests are a part of a larger trip like a cruise. With this in mind, the format for the ride will be different. The boats depart with large parties at a time, with a new "act" planned every day. New effects and routes happen depending on the day, and the skippers have a different routine for every day to encourage re-rides every day!

Journey to the Center of An Alternate Earth
Journey to the Center of an Alternate Earth is a new take on the modern JttCotE. Classic literature like Jules Verne will never go out of date, and thus will continued to be represented for the fantastic adventure it shows. However, it is not like the original ride as it takes the concept and applies it to adventures in a new planet. Much like Earth, it sustains life, and a has crazy, jungle-like atmosphere, but has its own mysteries to it. This immersive like nothing before e-ticket will be the ultimate sensory adventure, with animatronic technology in literally everything around you.

Nebula Guest Rooms

For the first time in Disney history, guests will be able to stay in each different themed world. All rooms are filled with the same details one can find on the rides and attractions. Those staying in the Frontier World will be boarded in a true Ymir style room while New Grid City guests rooms feature neon lighting and graphic designs. Simulated windows keep the guests from seeing outside to the World while the maintenance robots clean and repair the attractions for the next day. Guests will be enticed to return again and again, just to stay the night in each differently themed room.

Year: 2510 AD

"This just in. An all out nuclear war between virtually every nation on Earth. No government is currently intact."

All twelve Disney Parks have been destroyed. None our left, but the currently in production massive ship (Thanks for that :) ). People on Earth Survived, due to the vault system that was put in place years ago, and the Interworld Relief Workers are hard at work of restoring community. Radiation will be removed from the surface within the next five years.

What can we as a company due? We lost so much? Mourn? No. We have been the bringer of happiness for so many years, and it is our job to restore happiness on a destroyed planet.

What you have to do - Design a traveling exhibit. This exhibit can be whatever you want, a cinema, ride, etc. However, it must be: fairly easy to move and safe. The only thing you need to include is security (and of course the fun part). After all, Earth is a dangerous place nowadays.

Best of luck Imagineers.

President of Progress City
GOOOOD MORNING AND HELLO FROM SUNNY DAYTONA, FLORIDA, where I am currently T-minus 6 hours from stepping foot into the most magical place in the world. Welcome to Admiral Voxel's (I always wanted to say that) militaristic review of the Ghost of Disney's Future (sorry I watched the Christmas Carol last night and it's sticking to me). So like the ghost of Christmas past said to Trump, I mean scrooge, let's get this show on the road.

NASA timeline, made be giddy as a 10 year old child running through the snow. While the dates seems far apart and distant it matched the practicalness of the Government and how quickly things move now and days. I was only slightly disappointed that the first warp ship wasn't the USS Phoenix nor was there a USS Enterprise. (Star Trek Reference anyone?!)

I love the design of the vessel, though I would comment that you might want more connectors to the outer rings than the two that you have.. That will ensure that you have more than one means of reaching the outer rings, i.e. better transportation and less wait times. PS where are these engines :p (I'm surprised you went into the engine detail so bonus points for you)

I love that you guys went into the detail of the wardrobe of the crew, it was a nice touch. :D

I would be lying if I said I didn't cringe during some of the technical aspects of the ships functionality and technical sides due to the use of some word and terminology, but that being said if i was the ghost of Christmas Present I would join you to feast with me because you attempted to go to that level of description and you did a great job overall. Congrats.

Side note.. the first departments seems a bit too much like GLADOS for me, I may have to avoid taking a trip on Disney Nebula do to the risk of cake being a lie.

XANADU!!!

Ohh, you don't mean the song.. or the broadway musical. That being said I love the itinerary and OMG You gave the planetary mass, I am in nerd heaven bonus points to whatever house you are in That is a wonderful touch of detail. All this wonderful planet detail would be amazing in a website PS :p like a travel site.

SHERMAN THEATRE, I loved this idea when I first saw it on the draft table and I love it even more. I have always been a fan of the Sherman Brothers and this is an amazing tribute to their legacy.

TRON!!!! enough said.

I do love the scenery of the jungle cruise, it's unique and like nothing I have seen before when it comes to jungle cruise ideas.

Finally I would have love to see more about the hotel rooms.

Overall amazing work guys, the amount of detail and information produced over the last week is outstanding and stands out. I wish I could go into more detail about my opinions but I could spend days writing about this. . Round of Applause for everyone, now enjoy an evening at Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party.
