PHOTO UPDATE: Sandbag runs on Everest; the Yeti, etc.
Animal Kingdom Update
Today, 10/13, at the AK they were running trains on Expedition Everest with sandbags on them. Contemporary Spoke with a manager today at the front desk of the Contemporary and she stated that the hurricanes have recently pushed back the dates for the renovations. Currently, only the 9th floor, some rooms in the south wing, and half of the 10th floor( the side that faces Bay lake) have been renovated. She said that Disney does not expect for the Contemporary to be completely renovated for another 3 years. =-( On a side note, I was waiting for the monorail and gazing up at the 5-legged goat on the mural when I noticed something else. what i think that girl is doing is cooking and what see is holding is a spoon...tho at the first sight it does look like something im not gonna meantion on a WDW fourm website

Great photos! Thanks for the update.
For what its worth, the girl is uing a moarter and pestle (I surrender to the spelling police) to grind up corn or grain. If you have a wallgreens drug store in your neighborhood, you'll see a similar set of utensils in their logo.
