Primeval Whirl refurbishment extended to June

I had a feeling the refurb would get extended with the unfortunate incident that occured last month. I would guess that they haven't been able to do much of anything until the investigation was completed.

I've said it before and I'll say it every time, I really like this ride. This sucks that it wont be open when I'm there next month. I was happy it was originally scheduled to be reopen in time for my trip. I understand with the recent accident delaying it though. Oh well, I guess I'll get my fix next time.

This is one of the "coasters" my daughter has yet to tackle and she just said last night that she planned on doing it this trip in May. Bummer

Here we go again with things being closed down longer than originally stated. I know alot of this probably has to do with the accident that occured, but losing this attraction in DAK is very bad...since the park is already severely lacking in attractions already. I personally wish they'd do something different with this thing...up the theming or something. Bring it closer to Disney level theming.

It's kind of disheartening all the money Disney has had dump into refurbishments for this apparently problematic attraction... imagine if that money went into a replacement instead.

Hopefully the additional work involves a bulldozer.

I know it doesn't, of course, the attraction isn't going away. Still, a guy can dream.

 I agree!!!!!!

Last trip, we waited for about 50 minutes in what was said to be a 20 minute line (The only Disney line I've been in that never moves-I've been at fast moving lines at Universal) for a 3 minute carnival ride that left me nauseated. No thank you ever again!

They're obviously adding more features.

I hope they add Dreamfinder singing the Tiki Tiki song, and bring back the scent of Oranges that they pumped into the submarine when you entered the Sea Monster cave in the skyway bucket.

They just need to shut this ride down. It's pathetic. along with that whole area and an excuse for a themed land. Way to think outside the box WDI. I know that there was no budget, but come on. I say demolish it and go back to the drawing boards for that area. Hell it's sad when I would rather have them keep Camp minnie mickey than keep dinoland.

Soon you will be able to ride the exact same ride at Fun Spot on 192.
So if one breaks down, you will at least have another option.

You're either gonna like this ride or not. It depends how old you are and if you like carnival-like rides.

I think they might be touching up some effects that aren't working..

I personally love this ride! I love this kind of coaster and it's the only kind where I can ride it, the rest of the land (not including DINOSAUR) with Triceratop Spin and the games I think are corny... this kind of coaster probably couldn't be better with what it is. But this is my personal favorite out of all the rides in AK
