So with the end of YOMAD drawing closer..Did they ever give an explanation as to what they will do with the Castle Suite after the Promotion is over?

As of right now that is kind of true. I am the district manager for MAW here in Austin, tx and I have been in meetings for the past month speaking to the disney company regarding the cinderella suit and the walt disney suit (in DL) and if/when the familys will be able to spend 1 night of their disney wish in the suit.

During my DVC Castle Suite tour last month, the CM stated that members of high management had already decided to never sell it as a room night ~ it was just too special of an experience for that. He indicated it would remain as something special they provided to guests. He had no information on how often or in what means once the YOMD was over though.

If it was open to Wedding packages, that would open the door to the Michael Jackson's of the world entering into a bidding war on the suite.
This is just the kind of bad publicity they are trying to avoid.
I think it should still be a giveaway/promo suite only; that way Disney can at least claim it as a tax write-off and still gain good publicity from it.

If for some reason it's not in use by the charitable orginizations, sell it for outrageous amounts and attach a NDA to it. Would be a nice little source of revenue.

Where's Walt when you need him! or at least Eisner.. I know many of you have your things against the man.. but he did do a lot for the parks and got them out of the slump they were in... Has any other President done to the parks what he did in 10 years....

That was the problem...Eisner had one too many "ten years" at the company. I'll freely admit what happened on his and Frank Wells' watch from '84 to '94 was a huge turnaround for the theme parks and The Walt Disney Company as a whole. But it was that second ten years from '95 onaward where he fell into some really bad habits and just kept digging the hole deeper and deeper.
