Just a quick blurb to all before I go to bed. I juuuust now was able to view our family's portrait proofs from our private family portrait session in the MK on Saturday, Dec. 1st. We booked this thru Disney's Photographic Services. The sitting was like $275. Any portraits I order are additional. I wanted you all to know that the portraits are the best we have ever had done. So many are just to die for. We had 1 hour and have a total of 50 proofs that are all excellent. Our locations were the Rose Garden with the castle behind us, under the biiiig Christmas tree with the presents, and in the Storybook Garden. I can't say enough about the quality and beauty of these portraits. To me they're worth a whole lot more than what we have and will be paying. I highly, highly, highly recommend Disney's Photographic Services to anyone who is going to be in 'The World' and in the market to have portraits done.

I'm not sure if I can do it, but I'll see if I can figure out how to post a link to our portraits or something.

I'm completely awstruck. Wow.

Wow. Thanks for the info. We are overdue for a nice family photo. Who can I contact or email for this service.? I wonder if they will take Disney Reward Dollars?

Still not sure how to give y'all a preview of the proofs. We're set up on a website as an "event" and I think just I have access to it. Hhmmm.

Call Disney's Photographic Services at (407)827-5099. That's the number I have. :)

When you look at this one, remember we did this while they were filming the Christmas parade. Note that you don't notice any people besides us in the picture! Amazing!

Thanks for posting those pics! I would love to surprise my husband with something like that in a future trip. $275 doesn't seem too bad either for what looks like pretty nice photography. Did you use them for Christmas cards or anything?

No. We can't. We just got the proofs made available to us and the turnaround time once we submit an order for pics is 4-6 weeks. There's not enough time. The $275 was the sitting fee. Prints, etc. are additional. I have the price menu. If you PM me your email addy I can send it to you. :) I still don't feel like that's a lot of money. Any really good photographer or studio would charge about that for quality location shots. :) I'm very happy with what we are getting for the money. No complaints.

Wow. That's neat. As a semi-pro, local photographer I've thought about providing a service like this but didn't know if people would consider it valuable. I also didn't realize Disney started doing this themselves.

EDIT: And I agree with other's comments. That sitting fee is not terribly out of norm. Many photographers will waive the sitting fee if you order print packages though.

pictures are fab you are a good looking family i dont think i could get my five year old and two month old to sit still for long enough or me for that matter your in mk after all:lookaroun:lookaroun:animwink:

we use collages.net at my work. They should have given you a user name and a password to view those. If you want to post so we can see them all, this is going to be the key. If you have any questions on how to figure it out, PM me and I can help! :wave:

I love the pics though! I'll have to consider this when I go down some time. :D

Also, don't forget that the Grand Floridian does FREE photo shoots (free if you buy a PhotoPass CD which people do anyway). I was very pleased with how our photos came out considering it was a PhotoPass photographer doing the shoot.

You view the photos as soon as they are done taking them and they burn them on the CD for you right then and there. The whole process takes less than an hour.
