Well it will cost $199 plus $99 a month to get an iPhone from AT&T here in the states..... I cant argue with the quality but the price, ugh.

If it were 'just' a good camera, I'd agree the price probably isn't worth it. But it's a 780 HD video camera, a video call capable phone, an mp3 player, a user of multitudes of apps and a constantly connected mini-computer all in one. IMO well worth the price.

Just be glad you have the unlimited data plan already locked in at $30. New subscribers will pay either $15/month for 200mb or $25/month of 2 gig.

In the UK, O2 the network with the most iPhones will be downgrading service when version 4 comes out. It will scrap unlimited data downloads and at £60 ($85 USD) a month they'll get 1GB/month and charge more for anything over that. All those videos and photos will come at a hefty price, I anticipate a lot of angry customers.

I expect Apple's fall will be much more spectacular than its rise.

nah I don't see that having any impact on Apple. People are desperate to own the iPhone, and unlimited data has never been sustainable. That does not just apply to the iPhone either, all new smart phones will have the same issue. Basically O2 are not going to let people use 3G as their primary Internet connection.
