At this point i'd ve very surprised if they made any new muppet additions unless a new movie does quite well.

There is a rumor going around, that there is another Muppet Movie possibly being made very soon within the next two years. Suppose to be the director from 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up...I believe. The plot is kinda like the Country Bear Movie, where the Muppets have to save the Muppet Theater from distruction.
A while back they had plans to do a mini series called America's Next Top Muppet ( a spoof on many reality shows like American Idol and America's Next top Model) The judges where going to be Kermit, Miss Piggy (probably like simon), and I think Fozie(sp?). And america would get to vote on the next muppet. It was going to be 6 epsiodes but it got pulled. I hope they bring it back it would be a very funny concept. I miss Muppet Tonight! I loved that show.
But all I know is there a new muppet movie coming out soon and I hope to god it is better than Muppet's Wizard of Oz or at least a better leading actress (the muppets were great but she was terrible)

I really believe that the Muppets are the most equally loved yet underrepresented franchise that Disney owns. I just don't get why they aren't seen more in DHS. Everyone loves the Muppets because of their timeless family-friendly humor yet they continue to be swept under the rug by the WDC. It just doesn't make sense to me....:veryconfu

Its being done by Jason Segel and Nicholas Stoller, who wrote and directed Forgetting Sarah Marshall respectively. Part of the plat of FSM involves the main character writing a Dracula musical using puppets. Jason Segel is a life long fan of the muppets and he said that it his dream project to get to write the new muppet movie.

when I first heard about TSM I really was not that impressed. But now I am getting excited about it:ROFLOL: I too would love to see more of the Muppets at DHS.

I agree that TSM will be a great new D-ticket although I am much more excited about Pixar Place and the apparent "roll out" of the "Studios" concept at DHS. As for the Muppets at DHS, I really think they will have an established "land" or "Studio" (which they pretty much already do), or they will be phased out at the Studios.

Well really Disney Co. just recently in 2004 got all rights to them...so really I think in the past four years they have just been trying to do Merch. for it and getting it more out their publically that they own it, for example the muppets randomly coming on to the Disney Channel to draw the Mickey ear symbol, Kermit also came to host the show of Extreme Makeover-Home edition. And also they made Muppets Wizard Of Oz on their station ABC. It wasn't the best movie that there is out there of the muppets but it was still out there. You also have to remember in 2005 they celebrated 50 years of Kermit...which gave us lots and lots of Merch. to celebrate it. Plus a world tour of kermit on differnet shows and talk shows. Plus didn't Kermit and Fozzie do something for the 50th at DHS?? I think their main focus was to really get it out there in the open ...that we own them...and now I think they are working on making the next film. So hopefully this will mean much more! :D...So don't fear..they are here to stay.

Now on a side note...has anyone heard the X-mas CD Red and Green Christmas by the muppets. That one came out too from Disney...very good songs..well some of them are. But it sounds like audio from a show. If you listen to it it sounds like it would make a perfect show...wouldn't it be cool to use these same songs in a 3D show during the Holiday's they could call it A Muppet Vision 3D Holiday Party Show or something..All they have to do is...add some new props...change the film out, and maybe move around the AA, it could be an easy converstion. Just an idea!

Slightly off topic, is TSM going to have fastpass? I feel like it would have to since there are so few popular attractions at HS that it will be flooded with people.

their timeless family-friendly humor

I think the problem for Disney is that they are not all that family friendly. Disney wanted the other properties that Henderson Owned and new ones it could develop for little kids. The Muppets just came as part of the package.

What? Muppets appeal to adults and children. How's that not family friendly?

What!? I second DisneyAnole in his response. The Muppets without a doubt appeal to adults, teens, children, families, what have you. It's a no-brainer. All puppets don't appeal to families, this is true. For example, Avenue Q (non-Jim Henson) is geared towards adults. Sesame Street is geared towards children. Muppets, well, are geared towards everyone- and that includes families. And families are WDW's target audience, which is why there should be more Muppets in the parks!:hammer:

Question about Pixar Studios sign....and the Pixar logo....

The logo for all commercial use has the lamp replacing the "I". On the new DS Pixar Studios sign it does not (nor does the one at the CA "real" studio). Wonder why a single logo wasn't accepted?

And with the Pixar Studios letters at DS...they appear to be shaped or textured, but I can't make it out from the photos. Is it just general texturing or are they incorporated figures as in the Tree of Life?

i was wondering the same thing dave. i can only imagine that they wanted the letters to emulate the letters on the front gate of the actual pixar studios. to my knowledge and memory, that is what they look like.

im not certain about the texture question.

At the CA Studios, they are just block letters:
