News 'Encanto' and 'Indiana Jones'-themed experiences at Animal Kingdom

Yup, I want Indiana Jones... but I wouldn't mind a refresh of Dinosaur either. Just feels weird for DAK to lose any form Dinosaur representation. BUT, I'd imagine they will find a way to keep it within the new Tropical Americas or relocated elsewhere in the park? The pathway between...

Imminent Changes to Peter Pans Flight

I say no Cars Land, put a mini-Coco area near BTMR, Villains Land, and then a Never Land w/ Tokyo's land, but Shanghai's ride system. Gut Peter Pan's Flight to improve traffic flow and a nice relaxing lounge themed to Tangled

News Epcot Forever to debut as interim show before full Reflections of Earth replacement

Agree - the show is at the same pace as HEA... outside that one middle segment. Don't really understand the argument of the show feeling slow/depressing lol If it was more upbeat people would be saying it's a party atmosphere that doesn't fit Epcot lol

Rumor Big Thunder Mountain to receive full retrack

The track itself is rather smooth, janky transitions, but smooth.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

Didn't go to the parties, but Universal used that trick last year and the "Sold out" nights ended up being quiet enjoyable as it prevented locals with the Frequent Fear passes to visit lol

    DisneylandForward

I have to imagine a Space 220 franchise is planned for Anaheim at some point lol Great crowd management too, put the attraction entrances on the 2nd floor while keeping the profit center on the first. Make guests find the attractions, make it easy for them to find dining/shopping lol I can't...

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

If Universal wanted to build a dark ride there, or anything else, they would have told the HHN team to scram and find another place. Villain-Con has just the right amount of space, it's definitely not claustrophobic at all. The only issue is that they placed the dots where you stand on way too...

I kind of think this is what any TL related project should be. TL is a massively underutilized area that can add a good amount of walking/dining space.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

They don't close F&F specifically for HHN, never had until this year which is probably just a cost-cutting measure. They still operated it during HHN season. Minions is a rather long experience in a tight space. Don't think any additional Sq. Ft. would have added to the experience.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

Not really. The two older sprung tents (are rumored to be retired next year and replaced with newer ones farther away from the park). They built two new sprung tents this year that are replacing (rumored) the two houses located previously in the old/new parade warehouses in order to...

Considering a 3rd park would probably require APs to increase pricing by $200+ a year... would Disney really do that? Lowest priced AP will be $1K at a minimum lol Really do think DL just needs expansions and retrofits of existing areas... not a 3rd park.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

Well that's cause the parties have far less Halloween-related things to do than HHN lol Outside of short hours, USF isn't really impacted that much from HHN. (I will agree that Universal can do a better job at lessening the impacts of having to close parts of the park down for Stay & Scream).

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party 2024

HHN has severe capacity issues, but (and depends on your personal point of view) is still a far better event. I love the MS decor, Boo to You and Hocus Pocus... but the rest of the event leaves a lot to be desired. HHN is 10 new full blown well done houses, 5 (I'd say 3 since 2 are always a...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Bob is preparing for those Q3/Q4 numbers from summer travel. Disney has been pushing lots of deals that may convince locals to visit... we shall see

Imminent Changes to Peter Pans Flight

Ride needs a desperate overhaul, but the LL/Genie revenue loss will probably require them to make alterations overnight? Would be cool to see the ride spruced up slowly over night and newer effects/projections debuted once all complete without needing to shut the ride down for a significant...

Is attendance really down at WDW this or…

Q2 seems to be the biggest quarter for the domestic parks now? Two Epcot festivals, Run Disney, more guests visiting at this time when the weather is not miserable and all of the cheer/sports competitions taking place filling up rooms. Wonder what occupancy rates look like in the summer.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

Yes, which is why I believe USF/IOA will benefit from Epic and not see a dramatic attendance decline. Universal cares more about occupancy rates than in-park attendance at this point. They'll do whatever it takes to convince folks to visit longer/more of their parks with discounts/packages.

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

2023 is certainly a down year, but I also believe that Diagon/Hogwarts Express is a massive ticket seller that would at least convince folks to include USF as part of their visit with how easy it is to add to your trip. I know us fans like to complain about USF, but it has a lot going for it...

Universal Epic Universe (South Expansion Complex) - Opens 2025

Thanks for that - do you mind sharing where you got this data from? Also, 2001/02 tourism was reeling from terrorism... so numbers might have played a factor a bit.
