Another idea: You can always go the night before you plan to go to the park and activate your passes. They stop charging for parking about 3 hours before closing time. I have showed up at Animal Kingdom for a dining reservation at 5:45pm and no one was there to collect parking fees.

I think you are thinking of Disneyland. I believe all their APs have some type of blackouts. Every pass has to make park reservations (until whatever date WDW said an annual passholder can enter after 2pm without one). I think I am allowed up to 5 without a resort reservation. I only used...

I have had a Platinum and now Incredi-Pass since 2018. It NEVER had blackout dates.
