      hello there, just been reading your holiday adventure from 2012 at WL it sounds amazing, i love it! just a quick question, my partner and i have free Disney dollars this time, is the Virgin desk that difficult to find? we also go in September this year so really excited, any advice would be great, as we have never flown with virgin before.

        Hi again, Dave said the Virgin Desk is on Level 1 near the Alamo Car hire desk, it's not difficult to find but we were slightly disorientated after the flight! They are not actual vouchers, they look like a plastic credit card! We have always flown with Virgin and love their service, this Sept we fly with BA for the first time :( where you staying?

        thank you for your help, its nice to have some idea where abouts we should be aiming to go. We are staying at POR, we have never stayed on Disney property before so really excited, do we get to use the ME from the airport? woo i've heard BA are meant to be amazing, I'm sure you'll have a wicked time.

        Were staying next door at POFQ during Sept! Staying onsite is amazing, it feels like youre in the Disney bubble! Enjoy!

      Di, can't your travel agent actually just change your reservation to a courtyard view? I know the woods view sells out frequently and I've seen many people get an upgrade but I've never seen the courtyard view sell out. I know what your are feeling and this is going to drive you crazy until your trip. Either way you will have a great time but I'd probably try to know ahead of time before your trip. Good luck!

        Hi, our TA don't have any 'courtyard' views, they only sell 'woodland'. We will call WDW directly a few days before we leave to test the air then! I need to think positive that 'woodland' is also a great view just incase the worst happens! Thanks for your help! Di xx

      I enjoyed it at the Poly, there were a few too many kids for my liking (thats fine as it is WDW!) more of a noise factor really! I like more simple food but loved the Pulled pork sandwich with asian slaw! and obviously Dole whip! Our room was slightly dusty, patio window not overly clean, but still enjoyed it! I could not get the hang of the layout though! GF is my fav resort, nice and quiet, not overly crowded, like the theme, being from England it has a similar look. It was the first resort I stayed at so that kind of sticks I think? You can still get the ears I was on about, they are furry ones on a furry alice band ( think I've only seen minnie ones with the bow)

      We are going to be there the same times as you this year and we were there last year the time as you :-) We will be at the Caribbean Beach Resort from 9/13 to 9/20. I love the Poly Resort.. how did you like it??? My husband dreams of staying at the GF.. you must be excited!

      I know you wrote the message below in 2009... but I found it interesting. I have never seen what you are talking about.. since I was little ( I'm turning 40 in a couple months.. shhh don't tell anyone haha) I have always seen the hat with the ears.

      Is it still possible to buy the old mickey mouse ears at wdw? You know the ones on an alice band where it actually looks like you have ears! Not the silly hat that perches on the top of your head! We went to wdw last september and were disapointed to see the new look ears, we planned on entering into the spirit of the mouse but did not like the look of the new ones! We are going back next september (344 days away and counting)!!!! And would like some traditional ears!!!! Is there anywhere in wdw that sells them?
