Ques about viewing PP+ while still at WDW

I have seen here and there that sometimes you don't get your photos or you end up with some belonging to someone else. To me, that means you need to be viewing everyday to check.

Can you view as you go along on your trip? Do the photos you take each day get uploaded immediately, or at least that day?

And does anyone have any experience trying to view on their phone or a Kindle Fire? I don't intend to bring a laptop with me, but I do usually travel with my Kindle. Does it work on the KF?

The downside to viewing your photopass photos while on vacation is that I believe when you add your photopass card number to your account, that starts your 30 day claim window. The photopass website states that photos will be available the morning after they have been taken.

The pictures should be showup within 24 hours. However as meyeet said, claiming them online will start your 30 day edit window. This may or may not be a problem depending upon how much editing you need to do.

You can stop at any of the PhotoPass kiosks to have them show you the pictures on your account. However, as far as pictures that aren't yours go, they won't do much. And for missing pictures, you can have them look for them afterwards by filling out a form online, and they are usually good about finding them. Odds are if they can't find them via the online form, they won't be able to find them in park either.

My suggestion, when it doubt, stop for a second set of photos at a different photographer. This increases both the chances of you getting a good picture, and since each photographer has a different style, you may get some unique shots.

you sure about those 'start the clock' comments? I've waited weeks after being in the park to go onto the PP website and the clock was always from the date the photos were taken... or the card used (I assume). Me waiting to claim them did not add any time before the photos expired.

That was just normal photopass.. not the prepaid stuff.

I think that you have 30 days from the date the first picture was taken to claim them by viewing them on the website. Then you have 30 days from the date you claimed them to finish your editing and place your order. Hope that helps!

Well... you might unless you buy something. I viewed the photos on like day 28.. bought the next day.. and a few days later they were gone from the website. So you don't get 'another 30 days..' once you start viewing them. AFAIK - its 30 days from when the photos are taken.

I just checked the PhotoPass website and it says you have 30 days to claim and then 30 more days to edit, share, and order photos. I don't know how ordering individual prints affects the 30 days, as I've always preordered the CD.

You can view your photos at any Photopass kiosk at any time during your stay. Usually they are up within a few hours. You will have 30 days from when the photos are taken to link them to your online account and another 30 days from the day you link them until they expire they also now have an option to add additional days for a fee.

If photos are missing and you notice while still at WDW, you can have a cast member at a kiosk search for them based on the time and location that they were taken. This has happened to me before and it took a little time, but we were able to locate all our photos. Good luck!

So it sounds like maybe I should just go ahead and check while still at WDW. I hope it works on my KF!

It also sounds like, no matter what, I will need to stay on top of this due to the time windows!

I'm not sure about the Kindle Fire, but I know my iPad was definitely not compatible with the Photopass online system. I had to use my desktop to view the photos once I got home. While at the resort, I viewed the photos at a Photopass kiosk, which worked well for us since our 30 day countdown didn't begin until we arrived home and uploaded to our account.

Thanks! This is what I am afraid of. We had photos of my son taken, and you had to look at them on a website. The site would not work on my kindle, but did work on my phones. But not fun trying to view them on the phone. Although if I must, I will!

There are two counters. The first, is the 30 days from when the pictures are taken. You need to claim that card with an account before the 30 days are up to prevent the pictures from expiring. Then once you claim them, there is another 30 days to edit and place your order. Once you claim the pictures, they will show you an expiration date on the website next to the picture. I wouldn't push either past 29 days, but that is up to you.
