Pre-Trip Your country just turned 150 - what are you going to do? I AM GOING TO DISNEYLAND!!!!

As the title suggest the Max family is going back to Disneyland

(I know the country birthday thing doesn't make sense but if Superbowl MVPs can go to Disneyland - so can I !!)

High level plan:
Arrive on Saturday August 26, spend 4 days at DLR, then drive to San Diego for 4 days of relaxation and beach time!!

( A ginger on a beach - Lobster time!!)

So before I go into the details I want to take the time to tag some of the wonderful people on this board who have been so nice to me.

Details, Details, Details
We start with a Throwback Thursday shot from 2006

This was from our second trip to Disneyland in August 2006. Our first visit was in August 2005 for the 50th.
As you can see the castle is still decorated in gold - the 50th was a thing for over a year.

WHO:
For those who do not know us we are the Max Family.
My DW goes by T (less typing) circa 2007

So a little background / update on the clan.

S has graduated from university with a Bachelor of Music Therapy. She is currently working at a summer camp and will be starting her internship in September (1000 hours) and then writing her exam to be certified.

C is finishing 2nd yr of Biomedical engineering ( Coop program so school term during the summer) and will start her next work term the day after Labour Day.

T is a public health nurse who has the last 2 weeks of August off on vacation.

And I am an engineering manager at a Toyota plant here in Ontario Canada and I also have the last 2 weeks of August off.

WHEN:
For the last 3 years we have enjoyed a Disney Christmas vacation ( WDW in 14 and 16, DLR in 15)
Alas the streak must end this year with my work over Christmas starting to peak.

So after much delay ( exam schedules, work schedules, etc) we decided on the last week of August.

This will be trip # 10 to DLR since 2005 ( we missed some years and doubled up on others).

and T loves San Diego so after not being there since 2010 it was time to go back

I'm sooooo jealous!!! I've been dying to go to Disneyland so bad !!! Its only been two years since I've been and I'm jonesing to go back So excited for my northern neighbors !

I realize that I am posting in a WDW forum but for me Disneyland in California is my favorite resort.
Love all 4 that I have been (extremely) lucky to have visited.
Florida has the most to offer but California has a vibe that is hard to clarify.
This will be my 25th trip to a Disney resort - double digits for Cali
I feel blessed to have a family that put ups with me - I have them craving to go back everytime!!
