HI ALL! I'm still in WDW, just on a laptop. I just couldn't wait to add an update. Ok, here it goes:
I got to ride in the front of the Monorail on my way to the Magic Kingdomand I discovered that the Disneyland Monorails indeed are going to be remodeled. There is possible remodeling for WDW sometime in the semi-distant future, but that would include an expansion which the state has problems with at the moment.
I got some cool pics of 20K which had about 5 trucks in it (you can see it from Dumbo) and is really torn up. There is a dirt pile road leading up to the Character Festival which leads me to believe that it's days are numbered.
I wasn't able to get pics of the Skyway work because I am too short.
Soarin is actually pretty well hidden. I had to walk to Germany to see it and I still couldn't see it all that well. It's gonna be one of those things that you have to know about or lok for to notice.
I haven't been to AK yet but I was at Blizzard Beach today and while on the line for Teamboat Springs I got an awesome view of Everest and the Tree of life, which Everest Towers over it by FAR.
That was actually the second time seeing Everest, the first time being while riding one of my favorite attractions that I rode for the first time ever, The Tower of Terror.
I'm not sure if the Animation tour wentdown for rehab and opened again or if It hasn't gone down yet (I haven't been on for like 9 years) but It was really great and Mushu is pretty funny in it. I got some pics of Stich from the TTA, nothing new though.
Speaking of pics from the TTA, I also got some pics of the Tomorrowland Stage, which is torn up, in picures I've seen. In some pictures it is just flat Dirt and cement which the cement is the same as all over the ground in Tomorrowland. When I was there, however, there was piles of Dirt in the middle and metal sheets stuck in the ground as if something was to be put there, very interesting.
Apparently the castle is NOT being painted gold, since where there was scaffolding in pictures, there was not on the castle when I was there, and I saw absolutely no trace of Gold. There was scaffolding on the left bridge which could be looked own into, which I did not notice until I noticed it even though earlier I walked right there and would have been able to see what was going on, sorry.
Speaking of Scaffolding, there was some up in Moracco and the American Adventure. There was also a wall up at Japan with a sign that read "We are Building the Future Epcot".
Oh, I forgot to mention, I saw (and got a picture of) a man inside the 20K Lagoon walking into the exit of the showbuilding. At least, the exit that the Subs used to use
.
There are some cool Philharmagic and Tower of Terror 4 commercials here.
The Tower of Terror sign that was broken is now Functioning.
Oh, and if anyone cares, I got my first Monorail (purple), The Astro Orbitor (They have ZILLIONS in once upon a toy that are marked dwn to 11 dollars. Get them while you still can . . .) and Space Ship Earth.
The pictures come in my on time update. See you then . . .
