Is it possible to sample wines in the France Pavillion? I'm a Bud Light guy but would like to expand my culture on our upcoming trip. Thanks!

Yes. There is a shop (Maison du Vin, I think is the name) that does wine sampling. It is not free, it does cost money...I'm not sure how much offhand.

Germany does a great tasting, too ($$). I'm a white wine/Riesling girl and they've got some great ones at the German wine store (that was several years ago but I can't imagine it's still not available).

....countries with wine samplers are France, Italy, Japan (sake`), Germany.

....you can get tequila 'flights' in Mexico

....and ..I believe ...a beer sampler in England (United Kingdom).

....personally ...I gravitate towards ....all of them!!! But it's really nice to buy a few chocolates and biscotti in Italy ...and get a wine flight ...and sit outside at one of the tables and watch the world go by.

Thanks! I'm willing to pay a few dollars (but not too much) to check some out.
You are going to spend more for a tasting in a resort atmosphere than you are say back home at a wine tasting event. I would recommend trying it outside a resort atmosphere so the cost does not interfere with the flavor.

One great thing my friends and I did our last trip was try a wine flight - we had two small glasses in France, Italy and Germany. So we were able to try six different wines at a cost I did not find outlandish. And I can be rather frugal!!!

I prefer beer, myself. Germany offers beer sampling in (Sept?)/Oct/Nov/Dec, by the way.

If you've decided to do the wine tasting, my advice would be to eat "healthy" that day, with salads and nothing fried-maybe a bowl of tomato soup from Earl of Sandwich at DtD. Wine will not taste as good if you're consuming high caloric, for-the-masses "food" beforehand (unlike a beer, that goes good with anything). Always start your tasting with dry wines and then sweeter later on.

Hope that helps, good luck!
