World Passport Question

I've been a member since 2003 but this is the first year that I will be doing something other then WDW with my points. We have put in for 1 week in Grand Cayman at the Reef Resort anytime during the month of July. We are now waiting for a match. With regard to the matching process...are we actually waiting for someone that owns an interest at the reef resort to trade directly with us or is it more like our DVC points go into a pool. If the former, I am wondering how often folks are actually able to find a match.....so I guess my followup question is how often do people get the match they put in for with these world passport trades?
