Why can't we link to some non-affiliated WDW blogs and websites?

To the mods: when I've tried to link to certain websites and blogs, my posting ends up with the name of the site blacked out (*************). Are there certain online sources that you have "banned" from discussion? Is there a reason we should avoid those sites ourselves (e.g., phishing scams? viruses?) Will I get in trouble if I try to post links or suggest that anyone visit those sites? Many thanks for your guidance.

Yes there are about 3 sites who are blocked. They are typically banned members.

Other sites have also requested that people not post hot links, and that we do not "carry tales" from one site to another. We also do not appreciate people coming here to recruit posters for their own sites.
