Bought my tickets this morning. Surprisingly, all reviews so far have been positive. That's a first for a Twilight movie.

I always wait a week or two to see them- seems to weed out the crazies. ;) On the other hand, I always get stuck with the people who have seen it 500 times by then and have to repeat the lines as they are said. I'm excited to see it, though! It looks pretty good.

Heading for the great escape.
Mrs Sak is currently at Twie marathon, all episodes back to back. Though how you would notice the difference is beyond me.

Just saw it with the wife. I thought it was very good. Then again, I've liked all of the Twilight movies. Always felt they were unfairly ridiculed.

Not trying to hyjack the thread, but just seen the movie Lincoln last night. Several thoughts,

1) Movie was just OK....wait till it comes out on video

2) It is more like a documentry on the 13th admenment.....abolishing slavery.

3) It was touted as a front runner for "Best picture of the year".....not so much.

4) The movie is like 2 1/2 hours long, could be shortened by ummm say atleast an half hour or so.

5) Although the acting is superb, the story is lacking. If you are not into history ( as I am) this movie will be very boring to you. Other then the first few moments in the movie there is absolutely no action segments. 99% dialog.
If you are not interested in how the goverment worked in the 19th century.....dont waste your time.

6) I actually liked the movie itself but not for the plot or the story, I like the movie for things outside the plot, such as the setting, I collect antiques and loved seeing what the Whitehouse may have looked like in 1860's. Some might not notice but regular people were allowed in the Whitehouse back then, people could wait in the halls to talk to the President. I was totally into the costumes, what people would wear during that time.

7) Steven Spielberg took 13 years to research Lincoln and although I didnt care for the story I enjoyed seeing his take on Lincoln and how he is percieved. I was mildly surprised how likeable Lincoln was. If true Lincoln had a sense of humor.

As far as the OP is concerned, sorry never saw one episode of Twilight. My GF loves the movies. I am just not a fan of vampire movies. But I am hoping that Ted comes out on video for Christmas.....funniest movie of the year.

I ask my wife every time we watch one of the movies why he (Stewart) is still so constipated....

We probably won't see it until we head south for the Christmas holiday. Will see Twighlight and The Hobbit.

I'm not a Twilight fan so won't see it. Thanks for the review on the Lincoln movie arewethereyet. My granddaughter is all about everything and anything Lincoln and I had considered taking her to see this next Friday when she is here. I think we'll wait for it to come out on video based on what you've said. Would rather not spend $30 to find out she doesn't like it (she's 11).

I agree. Daniel Day-Lewis was awesome as always, and he'll probably win another Academy Award, but the movie itself was dull. I was hoping it would be an epic chronicle of Lincoln's life. Instead, it covered about a 3 month period.

I watched the sunset yesterday...twilight was the same as it was Friday and Saturday night....just a little colder than Saturday. The colors perhaps just a little more on the purple side.

In Kristen's defense, she's playing the part exactly how it is written in the book. Her character is a shy, unsure, no confidence clutz, who doesn't realize how beautiful she is. I saw the 1st movie before reading the books, and immediately after finishing the books, I got it.
