I am going to Disney World for my birthday in February and my dad said that I have to eat somewhere I've never eaten before. So my aunt told me about Whispering Canyon, and I just wanted to know how it is. I've read mixed reviews about it and I'm not sure if I wanna go there or not.

I think it really depends on how you handle that sort of atmosphere. If you go when there are a lot of people in the restaurant it is going to be loud and pretty hectic. There are activities, jokes, and they really try and get you into the mood of the restaurant. If you aren't into that sort of thing and playing along, then you might want to try something else out. As far as the food goes, it isn't bad nor is it great. It is fairly standard BBQ fare which is enjoyable. Same idea applies to breakfast there as well...food is pretty much your normal breakfast fare with some variations. Although, I will say that the BBQ eggs benedict there was one of the best breakfast dishes I have ever had.

We enjoy it! We prefer breakfast to dinner. Yes the staff is a little on the crazy side but not half as crazy as 50's Prime Time. In 2000 we honeymooned at WL and ate here every other day cuz it was so delicious.

We went once for dinner, and waited 20 minutes to be seated. After being seated, we waited an additional 15 minutes for a server to show up - but no one ever came to serve us so we left and went elsewhere. IMO, totally not worth it!!!

How can it totally not be worth it if you didn't experience it in total?

Its a great place! Its BBQ, which is on par with your Famous Daves or other BBQ chain restaurants; its not horrible. Atmosphere is fun and loud, yes, ask for ketchup and more soda! You'll have fun.

The food here does nothing for me. It's very "ehh."

However, the atmosphere is great fun and worth doing at least once.

had lunch and dinner there. the kids loved it too!!! (8 and 6). we took our parents for dinner and on another trip ate lunch. our parents returned on another trip themselves to do it again. very enjoyable if you have a great CM working your table! it can get loud, but we never left hungry or disappointed. we actually enjoyed our second lunch better than our first dinner experience (lunch was less crowded)

You will get plenty of it...:ROFLOL:

Yes you will! :ROFLOL:

We ate there in September for the first time and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere can definitely be a little crazy but it made for a very entertaining dinner, which was awesome after a long day of travel to get to the World.

I only ordered an appy instead of a regular entrée but I really enjoyed the pulled pork spring rolls. Everyone else in our group really enjoyed the food they had as well.

It would be a place I go back to on future trips, especially when my daughter is a little older and able to join in on some of the craziness!

Last time we went back in August for lunch we had a similiar experience with our server. We were the only group of people in our area and once we gave our drink order we didn't see him again for about 15 minutes. But to be fair after that we had a great experience, he even went back and added a dessert to go for us after he brought the check.

We ate dinner here back in May. It was really good and you get LOTS of food. My sister got the pot roast and said it was her favorite meal the whole trip. It was pretty busy while we were there and there was plenty of antics going on. We made an ADR to eat here again in the spring :)
