Which resorts allow dogs?

I would never bring my dog with me on a Disney vacation, and I can’t for the life of me figure out why Disney would ever allow people to bring dogs into their rooms, but I’m just curious, which resorts do allow dogs? I believe the YC does? Any other resorts?

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
This program that started last year is no longer offered it was discontinued not long ago. Or ends soon. Can’t remeber the date it was ending. ;)

In another thread, it was mentioned this pilot program was made permanent. I don't have any links to support this, but calling Disney will rectify that situation. I may be doing that once I get to the 499 day mark anyways.

Little Mermaid rooms in AofA, Port Orleans Riverside and Fort Wilderness. I hope Disney abandon this horrible policy. I've heard tales of dogs barking and disturbing people. I can't imagine how they would clean up a room after animals have slept in it. I certainly would not like to sleep in a bed after dogs have slept in it.

I will never stay at any of the resorts which allow dogs. Pay way too much to have a vacation ruined by barking dogs or the smell of dogs or rooms which have clearly had dogs staying in them. I think it’s a horrible policy by Disney.

I don't go to campsites that are pet friendly. While I don't have to worry about my allergies, they bark all night and I'd rather not be woken up. I understand outside in the wilderness, presents a dog with enough foreign noises, and smells, that it will bark but the concern at resort is the same.

If some dog owners let their dogs lick their mouth, I dread to think what they let the dogs get up to in the rooms. Would not like to stay in a room previously occupied with dogs.

I'm horribly allergic to dogs, massive asthma attack allergic and that's my concern. Yes, barking during the night when I'm trying to sleep is a major concern but being able to breath is #1 on my list of concerns.
According to Disney:

We will also designate certain floors or sections of a hotel as dog-friendly, while the majority of areas will remain canine-free to accommodate Guests with allergies or other concerns.

I pretty much always stay at the Beach Club so I don’t have to worry about the dog issue, but if I stayed at one of the “dog friendly” resorts and ended up near the dog rooms or had to deal with barking, etc., I literally would not pay for my room for that night. If Disney wants to have dog areas at particular resorts that’s certainly their prerogative and right, but they better damn well make sure that it doesn’t affect even to the slightest degree the rest of their guests.

Yeah, my dog does give me kisses but I would never let them trash a hotel room. Thanks. That comment was about as stupid as they come.

Btw, you have no idea if a dog was in the room before you. Every Disney resort has to allow service dogs. So while staying away from the dog friendly resort certainly ups the odds of having a room that didn't have a canine occupant, it does not guarantee it.

It also includes the Lion King buildings at AoA.

*****Correction it is now becoming a permanent program and is NOT ending per an article from another reputable source on 7/31/18. ***** :)

I've only seen this news from one not-so-reliable source (and other sites have referred to that source when reporting on it). I don't know if that's the same source you're referring to. Has anyone actually gotten confirmation from Disney (or trusted insiders here on the board) that it's permanent? I've seen posts on various message boards as recently as a few weeks ago where people who called to book a dog-friendly room were told by Disney that they were no longer offering those rooms. If it truly is now a permanent thing, I wish Disney would make an announcement. I don't care either way -- I would never take my dog to Disney and leave her in the room all day, but I understand why some people want to have their dogs with them. If this has become a permanent addition to the resorts, I hope Disney enforces the rules better. When we were at AoA in June on two different occasions I saw a guest (same one both times) allowing their two large dogs to relieve themselves in a grassy area that was not a designated dog relief area. This was very close to the main building (certainly a CM or two could have seen it happening) and just off the sidewalk (where a small child could easily be running, tripping, rolling, whatever).

Good luck.
