Hey everyone, just read that Uni Hollywood is replacing E.T. with our new Mummy ride. Just wanted to know what you guys thought was the bigger loss, Kong or E.T.?

No, Al Lutz passed on a rumor that The Mummy will be replacing ET at Universal Studios HOLLYWOOD.
Its going to be a pretty big ride considering Kongfrontation and ET are on opposite sides of the park  :lol:Originally posted by MKCustodial
Wait. Isn't the Mummy ride replacing Kong? Is Universal axing 2 rides to put the same in both?? :hurl:

i could really care less for universal studios right now...they're doing so many wrong things in the wrong directions. so far, to my knowledge at WDW they have only axed one good ride, IMO, that was Imagination before Idle and before the Idle & Figment remake. any others...Toad wasn't all that great pooh is a LOT better. on the flipside...Ghostbusters was alright, Twister is even worse.

Sorry, I know this is a bit of a drift and I apologize...but...can somebody please describe what the Ghostbusters attraction was?
I have never been on it and it sounds interesting.

Well, if memory serves me, the first installment was pretty much the final scene. They'd capture a couple of ghosts, then they'd meet Gozer, then the Stay Puft. The second one was Louis trying to make us buy GB junk, he'd play with the audience, then something would call the GB's attention and it turned to be Stay Puft, and I THINK Louis would be the one to save the day. Again, it's been a LONG time, I can't remember it anymore...![]()

It was a live action show, behind some type of clear screen. I barlely remember it. I remember the pre show area was dark (but I can't remember any theming). I remember the show taking place on top of that building with the lady (main villian from the movie).
