We've had:

- It's Tough to Be a Bug!

- Muppet Vision 3D

- Mickey's PhilharMagic

- Honey, I Shrunk the Audience

- Captain EO

Which do you think was the best? Which do you think was the worst?

My best vote goes to Muppet Vision. Aside from being the funniest, it makes great use of the medium and the concept fits the IP like a glove. The Muppet's meta shtick is perfect for a 4D show and the puppet medium means the ones that show up as animatronics really look like they just walked out of the movies/shows. Plus it has the preshow, which is just as funny as the actual show.

Then I would say the worst is PhilharMagic; it has the least going on effects-wise and it's not very funny. The best thing in there is that it's like an inverted Sorcerer's Apprentice where Mickey gets Yensid's role but I'm not sure if that's even an intentional joke.

(I've only seen Captain EO on a normal screen and saw HiStA way back when I was too young to remember much.)

The worst one is captain eo
I remember seeing Captain EO at Epcot back when I was 6 yrs old. My much younger self enjoyed it for what it was, but wow, re-watching it years later on YouTube without the nostalgia glasses on.... that was painfully bad. lol

Meega, nala kwishta!
Would you consider Alien Encounter/Stitch a 4D show? If so AE would be my top choice. ;) No 3D glasses, but you get smells instead....and fake blood spattered on you...gotta count for something. :)

Muppetvision was my favourite- it was great actually being in the muppet show and I just loved the interaction between the film and physical elements

Worst for me would be Magic Journeys (not listed). Remember watching it at Magic Kingdom once and falling asleep!

For me it's between Bug and Muppet*Vision, but the Muppets win easily based on charm and enjoyability (Bug is full of phobias and physically unpleasant sensory effects). Bug deserves recognition for how multi sensory it all is, and all of its physical propping and effects. Muppets has so many animatronics, great sensory and environmental effects, and an awesome musical number as well. Its whole surrounding land is great as well.

Only Terminator 2 3D at Uni rivals either of these 2 Disney showings IMO. Especially how the seats drop at the end. Overall though Muppets still wins easy. PhilharMagic or any of the other options don't match the 3 I just listed at all.

Captain EO might be the worst thing I’ve experienced in a Disney theme park.

It's not worse than Magic Journeys but it wasn't good.
You know, this discussion and memories of Captain EO have made me come to realize something:

Captain EO
A young space voyager accompanied by his companion Hooter, travels across the galaxy to confront the hideous and terrifying Supreme Leader, restoring her to her beautiful former self through the power of song and dance.

Moana (2016)
A young ocean voyager accompanied by her companion Maui, travels across the sea to confront the hideous and terrfying Te Ka, restoring her to her beautiful former self through the power of song and the heart of Te Feti.

Moana is an oceanic motion picture of Captain EO, just without the corniness and unnecessary crotch thrusts.
