Where would you go?

My Husband and I are celebrating our 15th anniversary in july at WDW!:sohappy: I wanted to renew our vows while we are there. I know that WDW provides services for such events but they are too expensive and it is just the two of us. My Uncle is an ordained minister and he is going to be coming to see us while we are there. I thought it would be nice somewhere in Epcot at WS while we are walking around. It is not anything formal, just want a moment to reflect and renew. Have Dinner ressies at 7:50. Maybe before dinner or right before fireworks. Where would you go? Any really beautiful little nooks that we could stop?

On a Doom Buggy in The Haunted Mansion seems like a romantic place.
Maybe where the ride approaches the bride who's holding the ax.

LOL

Vows renewed

I would think the patio by the bridge just past Rose & Crown OR on the other side of the bridge, by France OR any of the many other waterside patios, just as the fireworks finale is beginning would be very nice. I guess it depends on how longwinded your uncle is (says, I - a clergyman myself:animwink:)
Also, I think the English Garden in a quiet moment would be nice.

Of course, there is always Test Track - a testimony to the speed of time while having fun. The Tower of Terror might suffice, too - but then so would Big Thunder or Splash Mountain - but probably better for the first vows rather than renewal of same. Another place for the Big Plunge would be at the top of any of the water slides at Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach.

There are many little nooks and crannies along the path at AK that might be suitable. A favorite spots of mine are on Tom Sawyers Island.:)

Look for the quiet paths throughout the property - there are many. :)

I was thinking of this area as well. I know they often host wedding receptions on this patio, so be aware of that, but it's a wonderful place to see ROE at the end of the evening, and it's quite spacious. We've eaten our fish and chips from the Rose & Crown sitting here. It's enough off of the beaten path that you shouldn't run into throngs of people.

Let us know where you decide to renew your vows!!

I have to agree. As a past WDW bride I can say it is very romantic a place to be!

Italy

There is a nice raised area on the water front in Italy. Great shots with Space Ship Earth and Italy in the background. There is also a reflecting pool in front of the main building in China. (I like the Japanese arch as well.)

Not to be a buzz kill and my information might be out of date but it is my understanding that unless it is arranged through Disney they frown on guests doing this kind of thing on property. In your case it only being the 3 of you it might be possible to sneak one in but you might want to get the mouse's official stance on it before you commit.

there is a nice covered area at the Boardwalk directly across from ESPN Club

It is called Sea Breeze Point, located on the lake front as you walk from the ESPN Club, toward the International gateway @ epcot. My Fiance and I agre getting married there in August.

Another romantic spot is in the French Pavillion, in the gardens that face the International gateway..it is beautiful area, especially as the sun sets.

California grill offeres great seating and classy dining experience with a view of the castle and the nighttime fireworks. Reservations should be placed ahead in advanced.

Eat at the Kona Cafe which is beautiful. My husband and I ate there and walked after we ate on the pier at the marina under the stars. We watched the fireworks (from the ones that we could see) And the seven seas lagoon electrical parade that they had. It was magic. Then we walked over to the hammocks and enjoyed each others company. Ahhhhhh:D
