Where to stay for 2 days?

My fiancee and I are going down to Disney in May for a conference and we are staying at the Hilton in Lake Buena Vista. We LOVE Disney and staying on property. We are staying an extra couple of days after the conference and were wondering where to stay. We stayed at WL last year and Coronado the year prior. Due to the short stay, we would kind of like to stay somwhere we wouldn't normally stay due to price. Maybe Grand Floridian, Boardwalk or Contemporary?? Has anyone ever stayed at the Contemporary? I havent heard much about it! I'd love some help! Thanks!:animwink:

The Contemporary is cool, but it doesn't have the WOW factor of an AKL savannah room... If you're wanting to have a truly amazing experience, waking up to see a giraffe or a zebra lazily munching on some grass outside your window is kind of hard to beat!!

Where will you be spending the most of your 2 days? If at the MK, then the Contemporary with monorail in the lobby, plus being walking distance from there would be my suggestion.

where?

If you're MGM or epcot people stay at boardwalk or Yacht or beach club. If MK is your thing, I'd go for GF or polynesian before Contemporary.

We did a 2-day stay at GF one year before heading to Vero beach for 4 days.

I totally agree. You should stay at a hotel that is closest to the park you will want to be at the most, especially since you will have a short time.

Mr.Pickles prefers the Contemporary. After the fireworks a MK, just walk on home, insted of waiting for a hour for a bus or monorail.

The Contemporary....Mr.Pickles prefered resort.

I would agree with most of the posters, pick a hotel closest to the park you want to see the most!

But all of the Hotels are fab, if you are looking for fun the boardwalk is awesome, alittle romance, I would say the GF. I stayed there for my honeymoon it was amazing, but pricey.

The contemporary if you are a modern traveler!
