Yep, that is true, and apparently was given special treatment for a holiday opening, according to Bloomberg. They are using it to cross-promote the new Shanghai Disneyland:

Yes, they believe that it will actually do better box office in China than in the United States.

They are using it to cross-promote the movie and their new park. China even gave them some sort of holiday opening:
