When is your favorite time to go?

I've always enjoyed September the best, because I like the hot weather and low crowds.
Plus most attractions are generally up & running, unlike Jan & Feb.
However, my trip last year in early July was a nice change of pace. Obviously it was much busier, but I enjoyed the energy that comes with larger crowds.
In September, my wife & I are often the only ones browsing a shop or sitting at a resort bar..........that was certainly never the case the week before & after Independence day. Nice for a change.

April/May. A chance to escape the unpredictable weather of Syracuse, NY and it's usually warmer in Disney that time of year.
We're in Syracuse too and will be going for the first time in the May time frame. We usually go Feb/March or Oct/Nov time frame, so this will be our first Star Wars weekend.

We usually go in Jan or Feb (not holiday weekends) and the only rides that are down are Splash Mtn and Kali River Rapids (too cool to get wet anyway so we don't mind). Other rides are up except for the occasional refurb, and those are listed in advance on the Disney website.

The variety of answers on this thread amuse me. Looks like you will have to decide what is most important to YOU. If it were up to me, I'd say late October. The crowds are somewhat lower, the weather is not overbearing but nice enough to use the outdoor pools, you have MNSSHP, and the F&W Festival. While you may view the F&WF as more for adults, I think it's nice to walk around the World Showcase at least once during your trip anyway (for everyone to check out the pavillions and the kidcots and the few rides), so why not let the adults grab some cool nibbles and maybe a drink along the way? Oh, and sometimes you can get free dining at this time of year if that matters to you. (Free snack credits to use at the F&WF!)

For the Low Crowd Attendance We Love Late August eraly september. Also love Mid October and The First Week of December.....

First week of December is Great ..we get there Saturday After Thanksgiving. The parks are Really slow....Well, Magic Kingdom is a Madhouse for the Xmas parade taping which we avoid at all cost.

The Decorations are Up for Christmas which is Incredible, but Its gets PRETTY cold at night which is No fun.

I just wouldn't like to go and wait in all of the long lines around Christmas time and I wouldn't like it so packed. But I'm sure all of the decorations are beautiful around that time.

The only time we found the parks busy for that entire week was when they Taped the Parade for T.v. and at The Xmas Party...Its a REALLY slow week. Dvcers Love it because the Points are really low for the week!

We love to go in either September or October. It's a great time to go on vacation. Our kids are grown and so it's just the two of us. No school worries and enjoy a little bit less of a crowd yet still get all the warmth and Sunshine that allows us to go swimming. Lines for the most part on the week days are great and access to most of the rides and shows really is not a problem. This year we are going in October because we have not done the food and wine festival for a few years and would love to go and do it again. October is still hot and so we still get to go swimming. Yes swimming is important because we do this every night after the parks to unwind, relax and this just gets us ready for bed and sleep. Also, we love to go to the waterparks as well which has become a WDW must do for us. We have been down in April and June and find that September or October works the best for us.

I generally go in late May.
1. The weather is agreeable. Not too hot, not too cold.
2. While the crowds are elevated, they aren't particularly unbearable.
3. Star Wars nerds are out in...full Force. lol.

Last trip was in July. Big mistake. We were having to plan everything around the afternoon convection thunderstorms and there was a tour herd on every corner.

Got married Oct 9th, stayed from the 8th-15th. Crowds were minimal and after being super hot on our first day, it was pleasant the rest of the trip. First week of May was nice crowd and weather-wise, too.
