When do your Halloween decorations go up?

I was just thinking about this, having seen decorations for sale all over town. At what point do you decorate your house for Halloween?

All of mine go up and come down in one day. I unfortunately live in a city where having all of my decorations trashed by someone is a real possibility.

This is a collection of pictures from 2009. We have added a few things since then such as a projection of the Singing busts from HM, but it remains largely the same.

That is so cool! It's too bad that you only get to look at them for a day! :(

That and it is a bit hard on the body putting all of that stuff up in just one day. The big inflatable haunted house is the worst part. Even the slightest breeze makes it like trying to straighten bed sheets in a hurricane.

Haha! What's funny is I can sympathize! I live in hurricane alley and my grandmother was still hanging her sheets to dry during Hurricane Fran! ;)

Dying to put them up now, but my girlfriend doesn't feel the same way. I imagine I'll get them up before we leave for WDW next week, though. We have a big, new house this year and I'm dying to go all out for Halloween and Christmas.

IMO it's fair game to put up any holiday decorations if the parks have them out. :p

Good point! If it's good enough for Disney, it's good enough for me! :D

The 1st or 2nd full week of October. I usually try to save it for the same week I visit my 1st haunted house of the season.

But never earlier than October (I won't even buy my pumpkin ale until then). And it all goes down the day after Halloween.

We don't get into Halloween too much. I did, however, buy this funky little creation from an artist friend. This is "Baby Fester".

And this is the extent of Halloween decorating at my house!
