What's your length of stay "sweet spot"?

My family and I have been regular visitors to the world for over 15 years now. lol, I know not a long time compared to some folks here. When we first started going to the world we would go for 9 days but over time we've dropped down to 4 or 5 days. which is really 4 days because on our departure days we usually get a early afternoon flight home meaning we're up and at the airport early

Our last trip in August though I wish we had stayed longer than 5 days, mainly because we didn't get any "down" time, now it was a bit different since we were traveling with a large group, which eats up time but it did seem like we could have used a few extra days.

anyhoo, what's your trip length sweet spot? do you tend to hit the parks immediately and have jam packed days or are you a more slower tourer?

Back in the early 80s when we started going, it was a week. It just didn’t seem long enough so we added another week and it is perfect. See and do everything we want including offsite and a day or two for just resting or visiting relatives in the area.

Whenever we go, it's always 7 days, however when we went on our honeymoon in '93 we went for 10 (1 at Uni)...in a perfect world, 10 would be perfect, but 7 is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! Anything less would be a tease, like a visit to our local Disney store...

10 or 11 days of it is our only trip of the year. We did 7 in September and have a 5 night 6 day coming up in a few weeks. Doing 7-8 in May, then probably a quick 3-4 day stay in September before the craziness of Star Wars Land opens. I actually have to say I like going more on shorter trips more than one long one. My countdowns are so much shorter now!

We stay a minimum of 8 nights so that would be comfortable but a sweet spot would be 10 nights. We visit annually and like to park hop and take each day somewhat slowly. We rarely stay in a single park more than 5 or 6 hours. We don't do "resort days" either as our schedule is slow paced enough we don't feel the need to take an entire day off. We may visit MK just for the evening on a day when we do a resort lunch or visit Disney Springs but we almost never have a day we do not spend at least a few hours in one of the parks.

Sweet spot would be 6 days for park, arrival day is just around hotel/Disney Springs. Departure day meant sleeping late after 6th night in parks. (2 MK, 2EC, 1DS, 1AK) Deluxe plan adds 2 more days, Typhoon Lagoon after 2nd park day. Blizzard Beach after 4th park day) Have never actually done the deluxe plan

Tough question. I go to MCO about every month. Majority Disney...some Uni. On Average we spend 3 to 5 nights. I'll go with 4 nights/5 days (full days...leave close to - if not at - park close) as the sweet spot.

2 weeks.

We go every 3 years or so. We did one trip of 21 days, which by the end felt almost too long. Not quite sure why, although I suspect it would have been better if we’d broken it up with a few days down in the Keys or on the coast.

We do go offsite a few times in the 2 weeks, always to Kennedy for 1-2 days and shopping; sometimes to Universal, Legoland, into Orlando for a theatre production - just depends what anyone wants to do.

5 days: 1 arrival, 2 MK, 3, Epcot, 4 MK, 5 depart. This year we are adding an extra day for TSL.

Eight days, Nine nights. Twice per year.... Why?

Day 1 - all travel. "Airline bombs". We get in at 3AM, smelling like Raccoons from MI, despite our plans.

Day 2-7 Parks. See day 1 "Airline bombs". We can just stay at MCO, take MDE in the early morning. Got Hyatt Regency Orlando in my Cell list, because one day? This is gonna happen.

Day 8 - all travel. Airline bombs. We get in at 3AM, despite our plans. Got

Notice our desire to allow for a front, and backend "Airline bombs" day? WDW is GREAT - GETTING there, or getting OUT? Not so great.

We have also been going to Disney for the last 15 years. Our first trip was 5 days/6 nights. Since then our trips have been between 10-14 nights with 14 nights being our 'sweet spot'. We get 10 day park tickets and thoroughly enjoy every park. We also get a few 'off' days and get plenty down time so it really feels like a vacation for us.
