How long have you stayed in any park after closing time has come? Of course when there's no EMH in that park. How easy is it to hang out after most of the guests leave? Anybody ever done this?

OMG, it was in 2006 MK had EMH and the park was open till 1am so the EMH were till 3am. I ended up leaving at like 1:30 am, that was the longest I could hang, but my DH & DD, 17 then stayed till the very end, so they said they got back to the room like @ 3:40 and then decided to go to the resort pool till 5am, needless to say they were draging the next day.

I know someone can refine the times for me but on Epcot's 25th anniversary a bunch of us were there so late (with permission) that they had to have a CM escort us out of the park. I think we left the park somewhere around midnight to 1 AM and Epcot closed at 9:00 PM.

We stayed at AK til 7:30 p.m. on a 5 p.m. close day. Our group of 18 was their for Grand Gathering & were last to leave. It was cool seeing the empty park. it was a bit unnerving seeing the CM's "sweep" the park behind us. They were watching us like hawks.

:ROFLOL:Yeah, that's kinda what I mean. How long will you be 'allowed' to stay after closing time. For instance, 9:00 is closing time and we decide to just hang out on Main St. or sit outside the ToT entrance while everyone else is leaving. Will a CM tell us we have to leave or is there an unsaid time they let people stay after closing?

As a general rule they will let you stay in Epcot until after the burn off and in MK and AK you can stay until after the kiss goodnight. That boils down to about 1/2 to 1 hour worth of extra time to "hang out". Attractions will of course be closed and they will start cleaning the park out from back to front around 1/2 hour after park close.

As part of Celebration 25, we secured the clearance for our entire group that participated in the Illuminations Dessert Party to remain within the boundaries of the Italy pavilion until the inferno barge burnoff. Because of "Walt's Weather" (or my rain curse, whichever you prefer), and the moving of the additional barges, the burnoff didn't end up happening until roughly around 12:30-12:45 AM. Following the burnoff, we were walked out of the World Showcase, being the last remaining group in the park. Martin Smith ended up being the last guest in the park that morning (as seen in his excellent 25th Anniversary Tribute video).

That day was hands down the best day I have ever had in a Disney Park.

Still majorly bummed that I had to miss out on C25 (though I had an awesome time at Studio 20 and can't wait for the next WDWCelebrations event).

Back on-topic, I suppose I don't really count, but I was once legitimately at Epcot from 10:00 at night until 4:00 the following afternoon. It involved a Candlelight Processional rehearsal, followed by a full day of work.

I went on my second Undiscovered Future World tour last month and the tour guide (CM) informed us that they are no longer doing the burn off at the end of the night. The burn off is now being completed during the actual show. However, it is not something that is very noticable during the show because it just adds a few more flames to the already exsisting ones. Apparently, the burn off was considered a waste of resources, since the fuel can be accuratly measured; and the addtional pyro to the show is seen to be a good thing.

Sheesh. I had a similar experience in 2006 on a Band trip only it was for the MVMCP. 18 Hours, 3 parks, lotsa backstage time.:drevil::lol:

You definitely would have been embarrassed with this group especially when we were singing the appropriate music for each country and attraction we passed. There was a video of the C25 karaoke march somewhere on Youtube but I have not been able to find it.

EDIT found it. It is at the very end of this video.

I can't say that I remember the actual time but once we had a late ressie for Liberty Tree Tavern and dinner wound up taking a long time. We were in the restaurant a good hour after park closing so when we left we were pretty much the only people there.

Almost every night while working at Epcot until 12 AM because people like y'all. It was myself and 3 others in charge of "sweeping" the park clear of guests. I also got to call the park clear at the end of the night to control and the lights of the park would go out including one side of Spaceship Earth. Kinda cool to have that power and be part of the elite team known as Park Clear (RIP Rescue Rangers!)
