What Rides Do You Want?

Just posted this thread out of pure curiosity. I'd like a ride that calls back to the Old School Mickey Mouse Days.

I have been thinking about this for a while now. Years ago the automobile manufactures started a retro movement that has been amazing. Sales of each of the retro vehicles have done extremely well and even been a part of the reason HP wars started again.

So Disney, who seems to follow trends, should maybe try the same thing, the first one could to maybe bring back some of the Wonders of Life attractions. This could start to make EPCOT more of a learning entertainment world again. With current technology and people being more interested in health, an updated Body Wars and Cranium Command could really be something amazing. Besides, I am sure I am not the first to think of this, but an updated Cranium Command had to be the inspiration behind Inside/Out.

There is so much Disney could do with health/fitness experiences, it seems endless.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but GoG is just a poor idea for EPCOT. There are so many more attractions that could go there. Sticking with the energy theme makes so much more sense. Especially in this day and age when we as a world are trying to find cleaner and more efficient types of energy. Unless GoG will some how be related to energy than Disney you really messed up here.

Though as a selfish note, I am glad they are putting it there rather than replacing TOT with it. That would be a tragedy.

I'll preface by saying....never going to happen...but since we're on it.....

A type of Hogwarts ride that transports you from Frontierland or Liberty Square in the MK to the American Adventure in EPCOT (or reverse). It'd have to be some sort of American History theme and last about 20-30 minutes

That'd be good on days like Presidents' Day or Independence Day. A Disney guest could see the American Adventure, then go over to Magic Kingdom to see the Hall of Presidents. I've done that before, but without the "Hogwarts" ride, of course. Unless you count the monorail.

While I personally agree that classic Epcot pavilion themes would be better than Guardians, I think your ire is misplaced. You should be annoyed with your fellow guests, not Disney. I have absolutely no doubt that Guardians will be better received and draw bigger crowds than even the most amazing Energy themed attraction you've ever seen. That's just the state of pop culture in 2018 and Disney has to "give the people what they want," so to speak.

My own answer to the original question is a Moana attraction in Adventureland.

I have always wanted a Carousel themed to Fantasia or even a dark ride and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril rollercoaster added to DHS. A dark ride themed to either the Jungle Book or Bambi in DAK and more attractions Movies or rides for World Showcase.

So I've admitted before I'm not a big "nostalgia " type person. Maybe because in real life I work in an industry that is always looking for the next new/best thing.
So I would love to see a new Black panther themed rollercoaster. Mayne turn the speedway into an attraction featuring the car chase scene or a Wakanda space ship ride.

Modern versions of the Mr. Toad's Wild Ride and Snow White's Scary Adventures that were in Magic Kingdom at Disney World. I miss both of those rides and can only imagine how fun they'd be if done right with modern technology.

I hate what you said.. but I have to agree you are totally right
IPs sell, as much as we love the classic epcot a ride will be more popular with a popular ip or thrills... double points for both.

Shanghai's Pirates, Mystic Manor, Journey to the Center of the Earth, Indiana Jones Adventure....those are the clones I want...

But I'd also LOVE to see a new version of Horizons, new Imagination, and some kind of Ducktales dark ride.

My request is not for a new ride, but for the Indiana Jones ride at Disneyland also be in one of the parks on this coast, probably at Hollywood Studios near the stunt show.
There has been talk that Dino Land in AK might be changing to an Indiana Jones themed land. If that's the case, the Dinosaur ride would be changed into the Indiana Jones ride since it's apparently the same track anyway.
