We've booked our first family disneyworld vacation for April 28th to May 7th. Yes, that's 10 full days! :) So that's a lot of meals! What restaurants should I NOT miss?? and why?

Just to name a few

ESPN Club at the Boardwalk
Beaches and Cream at Yacht and Beach
Pecos Bills at MK

Those are my favorite 3!

Off Disney property would have to be Margaritaville at Universal Studios (not actually in it dont worry)

Ohana at the Polynesian is a must do! Also at Epcot, Biergarten in Germany, Coral Reef at the Living Seas if you like seafood, and Le Cellier at Canada. There are so many must do's that you probobly won't be able to hit, cause there are so many restaurants in Disney World. But for breakfast I recommend Whispering Canyon Cafe at the Wilderness Lodge, or Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Hope you enjoy your trip!

This is a tough one. But here are my three (in order):

1. California Grill (Time it so that you see Wishes during your meal. It's worth it.)
Fantastic food, beautiful view. They stop serving and pipe in the music for Wishes so that you can watch from either inside or their observation deck. A great perspective of the fireworks.

2. The Hollywood Brown Derby
Great food, probably the best in MGM, and it's easy to get a reservation. A fun thing to do is get reservations late (that way you're practically guaranteed a table), and then walk out of the park after close. It's interesting to see the park empty, save for your Disney Security escort.

3. The Coral Reef Restaurant
Great seafood, wonderful view of the sea life in their tank. They have tables literally against the glass, but every table has a great view. The service has always been excellent, when I've gone.

One restaurant that hasn't been mentioned is Jiko at AKL. It's expensive, but it's soooo good. Also, like everyone else said, Ohana, Whispering Canyon, and the Hoop-Dee-Doo. Hope this helps!

We love the Whispering Canyon in the WL for breakfast. Kona Kafe & 'Ohana in the Polynesian are very good. Chef Mickey's and the Concourse Steakhouse in the Contemporary.
We always get lunch at Casey's in the MK and we Love the Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner Pecos Bill's is also very good as is Cosmic Rays. We like Mama Melrose in MGM, but for some reason don't really have a meal in that park, just snacks. Tusker House in the DAK is a must... great salmon in a counter service place.
ESPN Club on the Boardwalk has great sandwiches ans such and The capeMay Cafe in the Beach Club has a very nice seafood buffet for dinner.

We've never had a bad meal in WDW so have fun picking out what/where to eat. Enjoy your trip!

Someone mentioned the Brown Derby. I don't know if they still do it, but a few years ago if you got a lter reservation, you also got a front of the line type pass for Fantasmic. Might want to check.

My personal favs:

Garden Grill at the Land: The Land should just be opening up again about then this is a revolving resturuant that over looks Living with the Land. The food is family style and very good, chicken, mashed potatoes, fish. And its got Characters.

Chef Mickey at the Contemporary: A buffet with Characters and a very cool set up. All open and beneth the monorail.

Teppyaki in Japan: Great food that the make right on the table for you. We go every trip.

Donald's Resturantasorus: A breafast buffet with characters in AK. I just went for the first time in June, and the theming is really cool, and if you get an early reservation, you get into the park early, and get a head start on attractions.

Coral Reef: Everyone loves this place. Great seafood and a great view of an amazing aquarium.

Have fun.

50’s prime time at MGM. Probably the funniest restaurant on property. If you don’t mind dressing up and paying a lot for dinner go to the California Grill @ the Contemporary. You can make your PS time around the time of the fireworks at MK and watch them from the roof of the building. We did it in December and the view is simply breathtaking. Also if one member of your party has an AP or is an Fl resident you can sign up for the Disney Dinning Experience for $50 and it will save you 20% off your bill (including alcohol) at almost every table service restaurant on property.

These are expensive, but I would try to get to at least one them.

1. The Yachtsman (Yacht Club)
2. Artist Point (Wilderness Lodge)
3. Narcoussi's (Grand Floridian)
4. Bistro de Paris (France)

I was going to give my top three, but I'm really only passionate about these two. I have other favorites, but you said not miss...

1. The Hollywood Brown Derby
This place has the best food and service on property. I've never ever had a bad experience. It's similar to California Grill, but at the Hollywood Brown Derby, you really feel like a movie star, which is way more fun to me than feeling like a 50s sitcom star or sitting in a car. The Derby is where the celebrities go to dine. Mmmhmm. I once saw Melissa Joan Hart eating there. That should explain it all.

2. Boma
I can't rave enough about Boma. It's like a ride for your mouth. There's so many adventurous things to taste. The best part is that you can try a little and move on. There's even good stuff for the unadventurous. Oh man. I could just eat from their selection of soups and be happy.

Get out of my head!!! That was my list in a nut shell..... the only exception would be the Hoop Dee Doo not because I don't like it... it's because I have never been able to attend it!

The one add-on I would include for myself is:Alfredo's in Epcot!!! Best Fet. Alfredo you will ever have in your entire life!! But a couple words of WARNING: Once you have this Fet. Alfredo you will think all other restraunts Fet. Alfredo is infurior (aka:sucks)!! Also, this stuff if for sure NOT ADKINS diet friendly for all you dietors out there!! There are enough calories in this stuff to last you for about a week!!

One more add on (for me): Beaches and Cream at the Beach Club Resort!!! Best ice cream you will ever have!! And if you are still really hungry after dinner order THE KITCHEN SINK!!! That's enough ice cream to feed a family!!

Anyway, good luck with your restraunt hunt!! HAVE FUN!!

And to:wannabeBelle: STOP READING MY MIND!!! ... Just Kidding of course....

Oh, and for Animal Kingdom, I have found that Flame Tree Barbeque is the best there.

Another great restraunt is Marrekesh in Morocco at Epcot. It is totally differnt from the other restraunts in WDW. It is much lighter in taste.

Hey there Triton, Keep me updated on any up and coming trips that you may be doing and we can arrange to do the Hoop De Doo together!!!! This is an absolute blast and shouldnt be missed!!! Although I have to disagree with Alfredo's. I really didnt care for the place at all. I Am really picky about my Italian food though as I was raised Italian and I work within walking distance of Little Italy in NYC so I know from some amazing Italian food. Other than that I Am glad to see you have such great taste in food!!! Belle
