When I arrived at EPCOT this morning {around 1100 hours} My first personal task was to visit my good friend Figment, but when I arrived the ride was closed and RCRU {Reedy Creek Rescue Unit} were exiting with a guest on a gurney. As far as I know, the guest is OK, he was {from my angle at the time} awake and coherent.

The ride reopened nearly four hours later. {Thanks Bob!}

Does anyone know what actually happened at Figments' Place ? {By habit alone I call it Figments' Place or Figments}

There was a medical emergency on the Imagination ride.
Brought on, no doubt, by the shear awesomeness and heart stopping display of imagination that the ride is all about. I always bring something to slow down my heart rate, I can't take the wonderfulness that is that ride. Especially as I go by Prof. Dreamfinders office. I'm feeling faint just thinking about it.:rolleyes:

Ironic that his old M&G that closed 3-4 years ago was named that....(Oddly everything in there is still all intact if you look thru the tinted windows but, stocked with Merchandise...)

Thank goodness I am not the only one that got in there when the Meet & Greet was still there. I LOVE FIGMENT! So naturally I always call the Journey into Imagination with Figment just plain old Figments' or Figment's Place Old Habits Die Hard :)

I honestly don't know why Figment has so many fans :confused: I find the character annoying and his ride is just abysmal.

Classic Spyro the Dragon is much better ;)

I still think the strangest comparison is from The Movie Quest for Camelot from 1997 had a 2 headed dragon named Devon & Cornwall. During their musical number they split apart and Devon looks suspiciously close to Figment (minus the wings and the adding of ears) But, voiced by Eric Idle 3 years before the 2nd incarnation of the pavilion.
