Well Here's My [Bib] Number, So Race Me Maybe - a Sept 2012 TR! P

Hey everyone, I'm back after another AWESOME trip to the World! And, without further ado, here is the TR (well, at least a start of it!).

The Facts:

• 48 hours
• 4 parks
• 7 rides
• 10 miles
• 2 Pascals
• 360 pictures
• As well as Instagram and cell phone photos!

And, amazingly I didn't even get to document it all in photo!


The Cast:
For starters, there is the MAIN cast of this TR, as well as a supporting cast... and then a BUNCH of Special Guests (sorry, Kenzie. I'm going to tell you now that I dropped the ball and forgot your stick at home! I'm sorry!!!).


For the cast, we have:
Me
Courtney, age 23, student teacher with some exciting news that will be announced possibly in this very post! Runner of the Tower of Terror 10 Miler.

Recognize the face with me? Unfortunately, he is NOT a part of this TR... especially since I didn't take a picture of him waiting at the airport for me at the end of the trip.


The other Main Cast
Claire, age 24 at the start of this trip, student teacher, and seasonal CM at the Bakery and Casey's. 10 Miler Spectator.

Supporting Cast
Angel, age 21, Nurse, Tower of Terror 10 Mile Runner. and Jerzy, age 21, Dan's brother, Angel's fiancee, bird lover, and 10 Miler Spectator.

And, as I said, there's other people making appearances in this TR, so keep your eye out for them!!!!

So, really, my TR starts about a WEEK before this trip happened for one specific reason.

AHHHHHHHH I got accepted to DCP!!!! Which means, this trip also celebrates 100 days until my college program starts and I am a CM at WDW.




annnnd on to the weekendddddd.

So I can get my Race Bib!


Packing for this trip was a LOT different than February... Because, I only packed a carry on! You wouldn't believe how much I actually DIDN'T pack. It was kinda sad actually.

That's because it IS the ride from Hershey! Lol. We went over the summer and I adore that picture of Jerzy and Angel so had to use it.

Yay a ToT race report! My brother and I were thinking about running this race but by the time we decided to pull the trigger it has sold out so now we're doing the marathon in January (yikes!). Can't wait for the report and hopefully you'll encourage some fellow racers to report as well.

I fell today. FELL ON THE SIDEWALK WALKING TO MY OFFICE. Sprawled out - fell on hands and knees. Bag went flying. No serious injuries - except my ego. I was mortified. And I come to my desk to see a Courtney TR - day improved. And now a cliffhanger? This is not a good day.

I work in Hershey! Used to work for Hershey Entertainment (ie. the park), but now I just work for a law firm there!

Sorry for the cliffhanger everyone! It's seriously due to the whole student teacher thing, that's all I do with my life (working on two papers and a SmartBoard activity while I'm typing this RIGHT. NOW.).

As for the title of this TR.... you'll find out why it's called that DURING the race part. But, I have another set of news before I go back to my TRing...

I just signed up for :drum roll please: The Princess Half on my birthday in Feb. My parents paid for my registration as an early Christmas/birthday present because I enjoyed the ToT race so much. But, on this side of it, I have a lot more training to do to be prepared now!!! eek!

Friday September 28, 2012 - Departure, MK/MNSSHP

The nice thing about this trip in comparison with February was that we got to sleep in until 5am this time! Woo! I stayed over at Claire's house the night before so that way her mom could drive us to the airport the next morning... getting us there a good 5 hours before our flight was going to take off.

So Claire and I are both student teachers, which means we both had a LOT of work to bring with us. Grading, SmartBoard updating, lesson planning, papers, etc. Which means getting to the airport super early was a major bonus because we were able to get a LOT done. Awesome.

Jerzy and Angel decided to meet us there so that her mom could drive them to the airport since we were coming from two different places.

Our plane's here! Early! Yay!

So we had a semi-decent ride on the plane. I had felt sick since about 5am, or when we woke up. So I felt sick on the plane trip. And got up for the bathroom AS SOON as the light went off for the seatbelts. When I came back, this she-man (not sure which still) managed to take MY seat and push me into the middle seat of the row. And we got into a row up in the air, because the she-man was really inconsiderate of the fact that I wasn't feeling good, felt claustrophobic, and that they were in my seat. So they kept pushing the arm rest INTO my arm, and then yelling at me when I asked she-man to move it. I told them that I was being considerate for letting them be in my seat, and the response was "I paid for this seat ******, so shut up" We tried calling the attendant and they never came. So, that was NOT a fun way to start our trip.

I was so glad to finally be in Orlando... the only problem was that it started to POUR as soon as we landed. And it was sunny the whole entire morning from what I had heard! Sad. Day. But it was ok, we dealt with a Florida storm for like 2 hours so it wasn't too bad.

Woohoo, you're doing the Princess Half! You will LOVE that race, it's so much fun! Will any friends be joining you or are you doing it solo?

That sucks about your plane ride...the guy sitting next to you really sounds like a piece of work (I'd use different phrasing, but this is a family board after all...).

And yay for 2 Pascals! I think I need to grab one for myself sometime soon...
