Web cams?

hey guys, I've been reading some stuff about Disney World web cams. Can anyone explain what these were and when they'll be back in operation again?

its been a long time since ive seen them up, but they have cameras placed in hot spots so you can see live action at WDW

As that thread says the old cam site is still there, with the last ever image still showing that the cams took beofre they were shutdown.

but if you look were the cames are in the parks... they are still there (atleast at the end of may they were).....

What was cool about the web cams, was you could download a whole day. Living in Florida allows for many day trips and maybe just weekend trips. When I got home I would download the day or weekend we were there and see if you could spot us in the crowds. (never once, still cool though) I actually still have some whole days on disk somewhere
