There's a website that tracks all of the weather related apps and locations and will give you the accuracy percentage for each so you know which is more reliable for whatever area you're looking for. For example, AccuWeather may be more accurate for Chicago but less accurate in Los Angeles. weather.com may be more accurate for Chicago than Orlando and so on.

Based on results, there are a few much more accurate than AccuWeather for the Orlando area. Possibly take a peek.

Third party weather apps are horrible for your phone's battery because they're constantly downloading map data and pinging location services in the background.

A few extra percentage points of accuracy isn't worth installing anything besides whatever comes stock on your phone.

I do not have it constantly running in the background. It only pulls data when I use the apps but not everyone may know how to change the setting on their phones.

My husband and I have discussed this very thing during our last few trips. His phone uses Accuweather and mine does Weather Channel. During all of our trips, Weather Channel was correct more often than not. Which my husband wasn't happy about because he wore sneakers the day I told him it was supposed to rain but he said his app didn't show any rain so it was fine 🤣 I heard many complaints about wet socks that day until we could go back to the resort so he could switch shoes lol.
