We have a great movie ride, how about a great music ride?

I think it'd be really cool to have a ride dedicated to all of the great music since let's just say the 1930s or so. I mean music and show business go hand in hand, so it'd fit right in with DHS.

Could maybe be a history of music, with CMs singing and dancing through the ride or something.

From Blues, to Big Band/Swing, to Bebop, to Rock and Roll, to Motown, to Disco, to Hip Hop, Grunge, etc.

Go through the gauntlet. It'd be really cool. Of course I'd prefer that the main focus be on the artists from the 30s, 40s, 50s, but however, it'd be cool.

Not the same, Calling RnRC a Great Music Ride is like calling Star Tours the Great Movie Ride. Great idea, I'd love to see more!

I'd have to say that they should have musical representation as a pavilion in EPCOT, and they could have a ride centering around it.

It would start off just like any other dark ride at EPCOT, with the cavemen making their first music on the walls of caves, and transition to many scenes after that, such as Mozart playing his harpsichord, the swing/jazz scene in the 30's, Rock n' Roll, recording process, all the way up to modern technologies...to name a few.

I could type up an entire ride overview (not much of an artist, so I can't draw I'm afraid) later, if anyone else likes the idea.

I like the Idea...maybe not in Epcot though. Seems to fit more with the Movie theme. Especially if they did a sort of homage to movie scores. I think a omnimover through animatronics of note-worthy artists could be a cool idea.

I wanted to respond to this thread, but I forgot about it. Oops.

Anyway, I had an idea for a while back for a Great Movie Ride style attraction featuring movies that contain John Williams scores. I'm talking Jurassic Park, Superman, Jaws, Indiana Jones, etc. The finale would be a long hallway featuring six different AA scenes of the six Star Wars films, with a new scene spotlighted every 30 seconds, featuring the movie's corresponding score.

As for placement, I'd say DHS. I have an idea for a new DHS area based on music. It'd contain Rock N Roller Coaster, the John Williams Ride, and a Queen Dark ride.

What do you think?

I absolutely love John Williams, so this idea sounds incredible to me!! Im wondering if Universal has the rights to most of his movies because they have attractions for Jaws, Jurassic Park, and ET. Also when you enter the parks you ofter hear the Superman theme. Obviously Disney has Star wars and Indiana Jones. But when I think Speilburg/Williams unfortunately I think Universal. Awesome idea though, would be a dream come true for me!!
